Comments about Olivia Garden Thermoactive Ionic Boar Combo Brush:
All other brushes that I found of the same size had only metal or only boar bristles. This brush has plastic round tip bristles that detangle my hair, which is very thick, as well as boar bristles that smooth out my coarse waves. Best if used on slightly damp hair - not wet. I didn't rate at a 5 because I wish the round tip bristles were just a bit longer because my hair is so thick.

Comments about Olivia Garden Thermoactive Ionic Boar Combo Brush:
The black plastic that holds the bristles in cracked on my first time of use. I have healthy straight medium length full hair. The problem with this is that it can't withstand pulling while blowdrying without breaking. DO NOT BUY!!!
I took that one line of plastic out in order to get my moneys worth, since ulta did not allow me to return without a receipt, and another one cracked on my 3 times after. I don't understand how people are giving 5 stars... not worth a penny

Comments about Olivia Garden Thermoactive Ionic Boar Combo Brush:
I have thin, wavy, frizzy hair and am very picky about how brushes feel in my hand and on my head. From this standpoint, I liked the brush - the concave shape of the bristles makes sense! It facilitates air flow! The boar bristles aren't too harsh for my scalp! Whee!
BUT SWEET BABY JESUS DON'T DROP IT. I *barely* dropped this on my counter, the plastic cap at the end of the brush broke off...Did you know the only thing holding this together is apparently the black rod in the middle?? The bristles are on plastic bars that are not attached to ANYTHING. As soon as you break the cap, or the black rod in the center of the brush, you're a goner. Not fixable. Awful. Thankfully (from my standpoint) I didn't make it past the return period and was able to take it back...in pieces.

Comments about Olivia Garden Thermoactive Ionic Boar Combo Brush:
My hairstylist told me I need to use a brush with boar hair bristles, so I decided to splurge on this find. The brush was about $17-20, but with the Ulta coupons that are always available, the price wasn't too bad. The brush is great though! I use it for brushing with a hair dryer to prep for straightening my hair and this brush helps cut down on the time I spend straightening, which is a major plus. The brush also helps make my hair come out very soft. Definitely happy with this purchase.

Comments about Olivia Garden Thermoactive Ionic Boar Combo Brush:
This is by far my favorite brush for blow drying my hair. I have medium/fine hair but a lot of it. It's naturally kind of wavy and frizzy. Normally when I blow dry my hair it becomes a poofy, frizzy mess that I always have to curl or straighten afterwards. With this brush, I get super smooth, soft, shiny, frizz-free hair. All I need to do is put in a little hair oil when I'm done, and I don't even need to straighten it. Even when I let my hair air dry about 80-90%, I can still get super smooth results with this brush.
