i don't usually use Remington because the last time i had a flat iron by them it broke within a week of using it. So i bought this one because it was the only one left at the store. I thought it would be good because it had keratin in the plates but it didn't do anything for my hair and the heat sensor strip pulled my hair. Overall this didn't do it for my mixed hair type. Conair is so much better FYI

It did not take long to heat up and it striaghtens but in order to get it straight I had to go down my hair slowly. It made my hair very stiff and when I combed it out my hair looked very frizzy and poofy. So all it did was flatten my hair and make the strands stick together. It just appeared straight and not in a good way. Oh and my hair smells burnt right now and I had it on the medium heat. It only has 3 heat settings. Something else I didn't like.

I flat iron my hair on a daily basis and have always used the same flat iron... I decided to try something new and hopefully better for my hair when my old flat iron went out for the billionth time! The Chi flat irons don't work too great on my hair...they straighten it but by the end of the day it's wavy and a hot mess again! So far I love this Remington though! It actually takes less time for me to flat iron my hair and everyone compliments me on how much healthier and shinier my hair looks! My boyfriend even told me "it looks like you got it professionally done"....since when do guys notice the difference?! Maybe he was sucking up?! Lol ;) anyways! Great product! Get you one!

Remington has never disappointed me. I love all of their products. I was really scared to buy it because of the price but when i came home and used it on my crazy lion looking hair, i was amazed and totally forgot the price. You will not be disappointed. Just let it heat up for about a minute or two. LOVE REMINGTON...
