I love hot tools. I like how the floating plates keep in touch with the hair through various thicknesses. It does not snag the hair and it also the flatiron itself does not feel flimsy. It does get VERY hot.

Comments about Hot Tools 1"" Salon Flat Iron with Titanium:
I have very thick coarse hair and have never owned a flat iron that I thought really worked well. My hairstylist recommended Hot Tools and said i needed 425-450 degrees. I bought this one and am SO HAPPY! Now it has been only a week but I have used it 3 times and so far I love it. Many compliments received so hopefully it holds up and continues to do such a great job.

Comments about Hot Tools 1"" Salon Flat Iron with Titanium:
Like everything, it takes a few tries prior to getting this perfect. The first few times I used it, I had marks in my hair where the iron plates ended/began. Then I realized that this iron is much better than my old one.. so instead of leaving it on my hair, I constantly moved it down my long hair. It is straigther than ever and smoother than ever!

Comments about Hot Tools 1"" Salon Flat Iron with Titanium:
Having many flat irons over the years to assist in my brazilian Keratin treated hair, this titanium flat iron did not run smoothly through my hair. I have learned, if it grabs the hair, it's also burning the hair, and the temperature wasn't at high level. that is why I returned it.

Comments about Hot Tools 1"" Salon Flat Iron with Titanium:
Can't tell when heated/ready at temperature you select. Doesn't seem to be 450 degrees. My professional flat iron only goes to 400 degrees and seems to be as hot or hotter. The titanium does make a huge difference for frizz control!!
