I felt I needed to use a lot of the product to get minimal results. I still want to try this along with the very sexy volumizing mousse and hope that helps do the trick... I bought this product so it wouldn't leave a sticky residue but guess that's not gonna happen...

I used this product from a recommendation from a friend of mine. I have thick hair that doesn't have much volume to it. I have tried hundreds of products (everything from gel, to mouse, to sprays) to give my crown area a 'boost' but nothing has worked, not even trying to tease the heck out of my hair. This is the only product that has ever worked for me! I find that it gives me great volume at my crown. I just sprinkle a little bit on the roots and really work it in with my fingertips. If my hair goes a bit flat towards the end of the day, I just flip my head upside down, rub it again with my fingers, flip my head up again and its good to go. I would highly recommend this product for someone who has a hard time getting volume at their roots. I do find that this product can be tricky to wash out but have found that if I comb my shampoo into my hair with a wide tooth comb and do the same with the conditioner that it comes right out.

I was really disappointed to find that the full size bottle is the same size bottle as the sample size, just with a little more product in it.
Even so, wow. Just wow. My hair has a strong wave through the length of it, but it's very fine and it's just so flat and limp at the roots. A tiny sprinkle of this stuff perks it right up. I love it.
The trick is to only use a tiny bit, and add a tiny bit more as needed. If you put too much in, it will feel like too much of anything else--a little sticky, a little crunchy, entirely gross. But as long as you go really easy on it and build up to just-right, you probably won't feel it in your hair at all. It also blends into your hair immediately, even on dark hair, so you won't see it, either.
So, 4/5 because of the small package. But since you only need a tiny bit at a time, the small package kind of makes sense. Kind of. Maybe.

I never heard of this until asking a consultant at Ulta what to use to keep my fine but thick hair from flattening out. It keeps my style but I had to play with it several days to get it right.

This is the best volumizer to use on dry hair. Doesn't take much, so it lasts forever. My hair is baby-fine, thin and straight. Amazing how full it can look when using this product.

This product doesn't do any of the things it claims! I was even told by the lady at my local Ulta that this would definitely give my thin, limp hair more volume...but NOTHING! It doesn't do anything other than make your hair feel gross!!! Luckily, I only bought a tiny trial bottle, if i would have spent the money on a full size bottle, i would definitely return it!

This really helps me style my hair! The lady at Ulta explained that it would put some "grit" in my clean hair (just after washing and drying), and help with styling, and it certainly did the job. I also like to use this brand's Spray and Play hairspray for Volume.
