Comments about Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Moisturizing Hair Smoothie:
I have naturally curly 4a/b hair and I use this product as a leave-in/deep conditioning/styling tool on freshly cowashed and detangled hair. I normally use it along with extra virgin olive oil as a sealant but can use it alone and it still makes my hair feel fabulous. I can even use a little more and forego using any gel. It makes my curls soft, shiny, bouncy, and smells great. I've tried many many different products and this has consistently been in my top 3 faves.

Comments about Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Moisturizing Hair Smoothie:
I recently permed my baby fine, stubbornly straight hair into ringlets and waves. My hair was really soft/smooth and healthy before (hadn't dyed it in years, used sulfate free shampoo, didn't heat style it) but afterwards it was totally fried, incredibly dry and rough. I picked up this deep conditioner because it had good reviews and a lot of natural oils in it. I try to use natural products over chemicals when I can but an olive oil and honey mask didn't do anything for me. As soon as I opened it, I was thrilled with how AMAZING it smells! It's decadent, like warm vanilla and cinnamon (reminds me of rice pudding, actually). The first time I used it, I combed it through wet hair and left it on, wrapped up in an old tshirt, for half an hour. When I rinsed it out... my hair was back to normal! It felt so soft and hydrated. I'm in love, this stuff is a life saver! I get the same great feeling hair even when I only leave it in a couple minutes in the shower, which I do once a week now. It's a little expensive but I only use maybe a tablespoon or two each time to cover my hair, which is a couple inches past my shoulders, so I think it's worth it because it's going to last me a long time. I'll definitely buy more when I finally run out.

I tried this on a recommendation from a friend. I have thick, blond, highlighted hair. I was using several products to condition and keep my hair from drying out. I apply just a very small amount through my towel dried hair and leave it in. My hair is soft and smooth and in much better shape. I literally have eliminated 4 products. Very pleased with this product! :)

Comments about Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Moisturizing Hair Smoothie:
The last time I had my hair cut, my stylist was complaining about how dry my hair was. I have been straightening my naturally (very) wavy hair for quite some time, so I wasn't really surprised to hear this. I was looking for a deep conditioning treatment that would help with my hair's dryness, and thought this would fit the bill. It has some great natural ingredients and smells amazing. However, I wasn't very thorough in reading the ingredient list, and found out when I re-read the ingredients that it contains a couple silicones, which I try to avoid due to the fact that they require harsher detergents to remove from your hair, and I use very gentle cleansers, most often using a cleansing conditioner, which is very ineffective at removing silicones, which means this product may lead to build-up or greasiness. Anyhow, I decided to give the product a try regardless of this. In the shower, I cleansed my hair as usual, then applied this product generously. It seemed to take quite a bit more product than usual to create that "slip" that most good conditioners give me. But the product smelled amazing. I left it on while I showered, shaved, etc., then rinsed with cold water. I could tell after rinsing that the conditioner did not do its job. After air drying as long as possible, and styling as usual, my hair felt considerably drier than it did before using the product! This really upset me, so I will not be using this product as it is intended again. Instead, this conditioner has been repurposed as a shaving cream for me.

I have been trying to grow my hair out after 15 years of having very short hair. My hair starting getting very dry from frequent coloring, daily blow drying and the flat iron. I decided to try a deep conditioner. I overhead another customer asking about this new product that have and decided to try it. It worked great! My hair was soft, smooth and silky. I am so happy since I was getting ready to give up on growing my hair out .
