ScarAway ONLY to be used on raised scars

        By Kerri

        from Santa Rosa Beach, FL

Comments about ScarAway Scar Repair Gel:

If you are not sure if your scar is raised then I would highly advise NOT using this product. My husband who is a Dermatologist advised me that it could make my scar worse. And it did! I went off a friend's testimonial without realizing that not all scars are raised. It is intended for raised scars and I didn't read the fine print on the box which I take full blame for but the name ScarAway with the tag "The Solution for Scars". There should be disclaimer indicating the two types of scars on the front of box.

It did not work for me at all, I'm asian and I have a deep medium skin color. I had this bad scar from a scab near my lips and I used this product as instructed and my scar didn't even reduce in color, it just stayed the same. If it work for you ladies and gents, congratulations.

Comments about ScarAway Scar Repair Gel:

I had a facial that included extractions that unfortunately left scarring on my face. Most of the scars were non-raised discolorations that Mederma seemed to be working well on. However, One scar in particular developed into a small hard nodule that was a deep red color. I believe it to be a keloid. I started using Kelo-cote a week ago, twice a day as directed. I have noticed a big difference in both color and texture. The keloid is not as raised, it is almost flesh with my skin. A little goes a long way, if you put too much on it doesn't really settle into the skin. So, while the price seems steep, it should last me for 6 months. I would recommend this to anyone with raised scars due to a surgery or acne.

Well I have bad scars that doctors have tried a myriad of different ineffective solutions to. Some say hypertrophic, keloid, hardened sebum, medication related...blah blah. Frustrating. Ive been using a sulfur based blemish control on them and I follow with this product ever other day. I've noticed huge results and a reduction in the raised areas. I really do believe this product is great. A bit overpriced but I prefer the gel to patches as it allows my skin to breathe. it does still get itchy (maybe the sulfur) but not nearly as itchy and sweaty with the patches.

I gashed my check and went to the ER they glued me together, the day the glue came off I started using Kelo-cote and sunscreen SPF 55. I have used it daily for 5 months, the results are incredible. I visited a plastic surgeon and he said I would have to have a "refinement" in about a year and massage it firmly every day, which I did the firm massaging. The scar is totally flat and smooth and can hardly be seen and I will not need a costly "refinement".
