It took a little getting used to because you are not approaching the hair the same way you do with a traditional tweezer but I find these grab the hair and pull it out quite effectively. I am having a little difficulty actually getting the tweezer on the hair but it is getting better.

my old pair of scissor tweezers was angled to a point to be able to pluck in a very precise spot. These a blunt cut with no tip.
