My husband and I stopped in at Ulta to look for shears to cut my hair @ home (following the Curly Girl @ home cutting method). We were unsure of which product to choose, so (probably not supposed to do this), but we sampled the two shears we narrowed down to and this one was noticeably better (the other was the Fromm Rhythm Shears). The Python shears cut quickly and easily through my thick, curly locks. We didn't hesitate after that, we just put the others back and purchased these. With proper care these should last a long while and the also have a lifetime warranty, so save the packaging and receipt :)
