Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Cover Foundation:
I was recommended this product, and although I'm not normally one to splurge, I figured it had to be good for $38. I have fairly dry skin, but I do moisturize regularly, especially before putting on foundation. I first tried applying a small amount with a brush, but it was very cakey and did not blend as I would have liked. Applying it with my fingers worked better, but it was still very heavy and really sunk into the creases under my eyes (and I'm only 21). It does even out skin tone nicely, but for the price I paid, I was hoping it would look a bit more natural. I will finish off the tube, but would not buy again.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Cover Foundation:
I so wanted to like this foundation. I got rave reviews about it from a friend and Ulta saleswoman. I loved the coverage it gave, it applied evenly, and coverage lasted all day.
However, about 5 days after wearing this daily, I began to notice multiple break outs, including cystic acne on my chin. I did some research on the product and noticed that it contains Dimethicone (not good for your skin). I had the same reaction to a primer that contained the same ingredient. It basically is an oil that traps/embeds bacteria and oils under your skin-causing breakouts.
Guess I'm headed back to Ulta....

I've used a lot of foundations before and this is my favorite one so far. Better than Makeup Forever, Dermablend and Clinique. It blends in really well giving my face a flawless finish, it doesn't look cakey at all.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Cover Foundation:
My skin tends to get a little oily in the summer time and I was looking for something that would help that, while also not causing any issues with my sensitive skin. I have rosacea and am prone to breakouts too, and let me tell you after a week of using this stuff I am SHOCKED... no issues, and my skin looks better too. I have even worn it when I go to the gym and still after an intense work out it looks flawless. I also got their foundation brush when I bought this and I am glad I did, looks great and I can get a light coverage to a full coverage depending on what I need that day. Great stuff, my new go to foundation for sure!!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Cover Foundation:
The only issue I had which was a problem with my store they were out of stock and said they ordered it for me for three weeks I went there weekly checking on it and they never did get it in stock. I gave up and had a friend pick it up for me at her store . My store is frequently out of products I use its very aggravating. And I'm considering going to a competitor from now on.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Cover Foundation:
I like to spray my brush with some setting spray before I apply the foundation on to the brush, this makes the foundation last longer since you'll be using less of the product. It lasts long but I like the look when it's coming off throughout the day, it looks more natural as the day goes on

I am so happy I stumbled on this product. It is non-greasy, covers very well and most importantly lasts all day. My skin has a very healthy look to it when I'm wearing it.
The name Amazon Clay scared me a little, but I really like this product.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Cover Foundation:
I love this foundation! I have combination skin, so I can get really oily in some parts and super dry in others. Most foundations I've used that are full coverage cause me to break out more, and other foundations that have been better for the dry parts of my face, don't cover my blemishes.
Tarte does it all! I have not had any breakouts since using it and it covers all the parts I want hidden without drying my skin. It blends in nicely, so it looks very natural. It's also super light, and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing any makeup at all.
It is a little pricey, but it's totally worth it. Tarte is my holy grail of foundation!
