I find this very drying rather than moisturizing and it doesn't give any weight to my hair, so I get frizz, frizz, frizz. My hair needs heavy-duty moisture, and this is very light. It's more like a gel without hold than a conditioner.

I have slightly wavy, long hair. I used this product to give my waves a little more of a curly kick. It does a pretty good job. Doesn't make my hair crunchy like some others I've used but doesn't do anything miraculous either. Very decent product, will probably buy again.

After I use the devacurl shampoo and conditioner, I use b-leave-in and then the ultra defining gel. Previously, I was using FIVE products in my hair, including 2 mousses. I have fine, 3a curls, and I no longer need the mousse. The ultra defining gel alone wasn't enough to keep down the frizz and define my curls.

I don't use very much to keep my curls together, so 1 bottle can last me almost 5-6 months. It also doesn't make the curls "crunchy" like most other curling products. They are softer curls. I get asked frequently what curling products I use and I highly recommend Deva Curl gel. This is the only curling product I use. I don't use any other product in their line
