I've tried a lot of the curly hair products on the market and was excited about Deva Curl because it's a company that only makes products for curly hair. I read a lot of reviews and liked the idea of a system that cleanses without drying and defines curls while adding shine. My hair is very curly and very fine and I am always walking the fine line between frizzy and weighed down. Deva curl controls your curls, but it does it by weighing them down. I tried using it for a week straight, not shampooing every day. I tried it for a week shampooing every day... both weeks similar results: defined curls with a greasy look and no bounce. As an added negative, Deva Curl shampoo and conditioner smell terrible! I'm not picky about fragrances usually, but the No-Poo shampoo is awful. The conditioner is slightly better, but not much.

Maybe if you have thick, course curly hair these products are for you, but I would not recommend to people with normal to fine hair.

This product cleans all hair types and leaves moisture to aid styling.

I'm not fond of the scent, but it is not noticeable after hair dries.

I'm sold on devacurl! No Poo, one condition, and the defining gel. Its a great product and i will continue to purchase it. Last a lot longer than i thought it would which helps with the cost :)

I am very cheap but wanted to try something that would enhance my wavy/curly hair. My mom bought me a trial size bottle of this stuff and now I don't buy anything else. I clean my hair every 3 days with the no-poo and conditioner then just use water to re-activate the gel on the "off" days.

My hair used to be wavy and okay but after using DevaCurl for about a month, my curls are curlier, more defined, shiny, bouncy, and gorgeous!

I really shouldn't say the price is a con because a little goes a long way and the product produced perfect frizz free curls that lasts more than one day. I use about 1/2 the amount I would if I were using a sulfate shampoo. I wash 1/2 as often because the results are great. Therefore, I use 1/4 the amount I would if I used a cheaper product. This brings the price, in my opinion, down to 1/4 the retail price. But the results are better than a bottle for 1/4 of the price. I also used this in addition to the deva gloves. NO FRIZZ.

I'm surprised my dry scalp didn't like this. I used it a few days and threw it away, yuck!

It took some getting used to it. It feels like conditioner instead of shampoo. The results are good.

I had been reading into this product before actually purchasing it. I bought the small bottles in case it didn't work like I wanted it to. I am so disappointed that I only have the small bottles. It is the best thing I have ever used on my hair. I have type 3b curls which tend to wilt as the day goes on, especially in the winter. Using this shampoo, the one condition and the ultra defining gel, my curls last all day, and I am still able to wear my hair down on the second day. I wish it wasn't so expensive because I have never been more satisfied with a product in my life. It is perfect.

Love that this product detangles and cleans. It has also improved the health of my scalp. It is important to really massage it in to your hair and scalp for the best results

No Poo was suggested/sold to me when I visited a DevaCurl stylist rather by accident - new in town, asked a friend where she goes, turned out that salon has two deva curl stylists on staff. Got a great cut and agreed to try the "no suds, no detergents" shampoo -- figured what's to lose but a few extra bucks. WOW. My husband mentioned it within days -- "whatever it is, keep using it; your hair doesn't feel like straw anymore and it doesn't itch my face if I roll over in my sleep" -- when the hubs notices a huge difference....that's a "kudo" -- I noticed my curls are finally actually "curly" instead of frizzy and poofy. I only wash 2x week - have had the same bottle since Oct (5mos) and still at the halfway point. Hair is shinier, bouncier without being "chia pet" like. I'm in a dry climate, so I'm sure that aids in the defrizz, but it also worsens the "drying" factor on curly hair -- I love it. Not sure I'm ready to go to baking soda like some, but I am very happy with the NoPoo; just wish it wasn't quite so expensive...
