so far i love this flat iron. have owned 2 chi's in the past, both have stopped working. sales clerk at ulta said to try this flat iron. works very good for the money spent.

I bought my first Hot Tools straightener and it only lasted 4 months before it would no longer heat up. Then I exchanged it for the same straightener to find out that the second one only lasted 5 months before the temperature settings could not be changed. It set itself on the highest setting and I fried part of my hair before I noticed. So save your time, money, and hair and buy a different straightener.

Bought this for my daughter when she went to college. She came back at fall break saying it never heated up. It was exchanged, sales person said they had a "problem" with that lot gave me a new one. Sent with my kid again to school, she brought it back at Thanksgiving-SAME THING-didn't heat up. I would not buy this product again.

I did some research on this product before purchasing and although I wasn't totally convinced that this product would work,I'm so glad I got it!! I have super thick, wavy hair and live in the south (so the summer gets super humid). People compliment me all the time wondering how my hair gets stick straight. So happy with this product!

my previous flat iron was a chi but decided to try out the hot tools product since ive only heard good things about it from beauty gurus and friends. the one thing i loved about it that i think most people would agree on is that it doesnt make my hair feel so fried. even at the highest setting, my hair feels smooth after i'm done straightening my hair. and it takes less time to do also! i'm in love with my flat iron :)

I have been using a flat iron on my hair for years now. Prior to getting Keratin treatments, I only used it once in a while because my hair was very thick and very wavy and would take much too long to straighten. Now I use it every day. When I was in need of a replacement, I searched aroung the ULTA store and found the Hot Tools brand. This one is great because it has a range of temperature settings allowing me to use the correct setting for my hair type. I haven't found anything wrong with it so I would recommend it to anyone.

This straightener worked well for a few months of daily use, then stopped turning on.
Did do a lot of damage to hair when it did work.
