Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I used to have the Chi Nano and wanted a flat iron similar to it. This Chi flat iron acts pretty much the same as the Nano and that makes me a satisfied customer. After my Chi Nano stopped working I used a flat iron with titanium plates and that made my hair dry out. This flat iron with ceramic plates does not dry out my hair and makes my hair silky and smooth. I highly recommend it!

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I have owned three Chi straighteners in the span of 15 years. The first lasted 7 years and the second lasted 8 years. This is with almost daily straightening. I bought one before Thanksgiving to replace my other one and it just didn't work well. It doesn't seem to get as hot as it used to or smooth as well. It heats use fast which is a plus, but it took much longer than I wanted to straighten my curly coarse hair, which was never a problem with the previous models. I think if you have average hair then it would work fine, but if your hair is coarse, thick or curly I recommend a different product. I returned mine.

LOVE flat iron - hate swivelling "L" cord and bulky plug.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

Wonderful smooth high quality flat iron with awkward swivel cord at base. It's difficult to set flat iron down on bathroom counter when you're styling hair because the "L" shaped swivel base often sticks down preventing hot iron from laying safely and securely flat while you prepare another hair section. Additionally, the iron is pretty light weight and the cord is very long (a plus) and heavy which makes the hot tool even less secure sitting on slick counter. Worst of all is the bulky plug - which may be required, I don't know. It takes up so much space over outlet that only one of my hair tools (dryer or flat iron) can be plugged in at the same time. Very inconvenient!

      Used to be good...

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I had my first chi for 8 years and when it died I had a small panic attack. I ordered a new one and the product is not the same. In fact it is ten times worse. I ordered this just over a year ago and the flat iron no longer works. I tried to call and redeem the manufacturer's warranty as it is advertised on the Ulta website as being a 2 year warranty just to be told that wasn't the case. This is beyond frustrating as my last chi lasted 8+ years and this one couldn't handle 1 year.

Ulta, update your website with the correct information. I will no longer be shopping at your store because of this.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I thought this was supposed to be a replica of the original CHI. My original CHI was the best and this replacement did not feel or work as well.
The ceramic surface feels different. The original CHI straigtened my hair quickly and left it silky and smooth with one sweep. This one has got to be made with different materials and engineering.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

This is the first Chi I have ever had. I love it and it worked great for the first 2 months. Then, the bottom plate stopped working. I was very disappointed because I spent about $100 on it! Luckily, my local Ulta let me return it and gave me store credit. I bought this same straightener again and I am hoping my first one was just a lemon. If this replacement breaks within the first 6 months, i will never buy a Chi again. But, overall great product even though I had a bad experience with my first purchase.
