Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I had the original CHI flat iron years ago and unfortunately, it was stolen. I have tried many irons since, and none of compare to the quality/performance of this one. It straightened my hair in half the time and my locks stayed straight all day! I have a CHI air now, and I don't like it at all. I wish I could afford to buy the original! Totally worth every penny of you have the pennies to invest!!

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I used this product a few times monthly for the last 3yrs or so. It was great while it lasted...versatile for straightening and loose curls BUT unfortunately it's already no longer working. So much for reliability. When I called customer service, the reply I received was "Well unfortunately sometimes they work for 1yr, sometimes they work for 10 - you just never know". Sounds like a risky investment to me.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I bought mine in November, 2013 (less than two years ago) because I had used Chi's before that my friends owned and they seemed to do a great job. Mine never seemed to be quite as good but it got the job done. That is until about a month ago when the wiring problems started and at first I would just have to position the cord in the right way to get it to heat up, but now I can't get it to turn on at all. I used it frequently but I was pretty careful with it so I am very disappointed in the quality. Will not be repurchasing.

Comments about Chi Ceramic Hairstyling Iron:

I purchased this CHI iron about 1.5 years ago, and it just died. It was never quite the quality I expected from a Chi iron. Even at arrival, it had a little chip in the plate, and I should've returned it right away. I had thought the plates were fully ceramic, but apparently they are just coated. I'd keep searching if you are looking for a great, long-lasting performer.

Does this product come with qualifying warranty? I know the Chi company warranty only qualifies if it comes with a Professional salon receipt.
