Comments about Hot Tools Self-Grip Rollers:

I can't say enough about these curlers and I have used them for YEARS with different hairstyles. I like the plastic inside, not the metal ones. I have bought I can't even tell you how many hair styling products....from curling irons to steam rollers. absolutely nothing works better for me than these. I place them in after I have dried my hair while I am getting dressed. I place them in damp hair when I have more time. And I use them on the 2nd day to re-volume-ize. For years I have done this

Comments about Hot Tools Self-Grip Rollers:

Not the biggest fan. Fist time using the self grip and they are constantly tangling my hair. I rather the regular rollers that you buy the clip to hold your hair with. I feel like my hair breaks a lot everytime I use them.

I this product! I was introduced to the rollers by my sister at her daughters destination wedding. I forgot my rollers and my sister lent me hers, my hair came out great, when I returned home I went straight to Ulta and purchased my own... Great product comfortable, they stick together nicely and are just the right size!

Comments about Hot Tools Self-Grip Rollers:

I have tried every electronic hair product....curlers, irons, brushes. Nothing gives my hair more shine, smoothness & volume like these velcro (whoops, self-grip) curlers! I have used them for years with short hair, medium hair and long hair. I am now older and they still work the easiest with the best results!!! I don't use anything else but occasionally a hair dryer

What is the base (tube part, not the grip part) made of? plastic, metal, ceramic, other? I own some plastic ones that I feel would work better if the base held some heat from the dryer.

Hot Tools Self-Grip Rollers may be used on dry or damp hair.

Using a comb, section hair approximately 2 inches wide, apply hair spray on this section.

Hold up your hair section at a 45-degree angle and start winding the end of the hair around the roller, and then angle the roller completely down toward the scalp as you continue to wind the remaining hair. Keep the tension even while rolling so that the roller sets firmly. Set the rollers in the direction of your desired hair style. Start at the front of the head and work your way toward the back. Repeat the rolling process until all of your hair has been completely rolled.

Mist the rolled hair with hair spray and let it dry naturally or with a hand dryer. Allow the hair to cool once it's completely dry. The time depends on how thick your hair is. Approximately 30-45 min.

Remove the self-holding rollers by rolling them out of your hair in the same direction in which you rolled them. Avoid sliding them out, which can tangle the hair.

Can you use them in dry hair and sleep with them overnight. And do they give good curls like good enough you'd think it would be from an hair curler?

                      A:

Yes, you can use the rollers on dry hair. We do not recommend to sleep with them. The curls you get from the rollers depends on the size of the roller. The smaller the roller is, the more defined the curl will be. The bigger rollers are ideal for adding volume.
