You can use it prior to cover up or just by itself.
Under foundation, this primer allows my makeup to stay in place all day and I look good. This is the first primer I have ever found that could do this. I love it's performance.

I bought this after I found out the Ulta Professional Oil Free primer had been discontinued. This is pretty good but not as good as the Ulta brand and this one cost double the price.

This is a fabulous primer. It's oil-free which makes me feel very comfortable using it. It truly does blur imperfections. It made the pores on my nose practically vanish. I was hesitant to buy because of the price but I'm so glad I did.
My skin is really sensitive. This is the only primer I've used that didn't make me break out. Great oil control and does an amazing job hiding imperfections. I will gladly pay the higher price for a product that works this well!
One bottle has lasted me 5+ months.
