I always describe my skin as the Exxon Valdez Oil spill because I'm ALWAYS oily and it never goes away. I do believe this product works, just not long enough for my skin type. It goes on easily, is lightly tinted to help cover imperfections and I don't notice any scent. Overall, I think it's a little pricey and moderately effective.

I have really been enjoying this primer since receiving it. It doesn't take the place of your regular acne regimen, but it doesn't hurt it either. I really enjoy the skin adjusting light coverage that it gives because it helps add a little more coverage to my tinted moisturizer without making me look cakey at all! This will definitely be a product that I will repurchase.

I have tried pretty much everything for oily skin on the market and this is IT for me. It keeps my skin matte but not dry for most of the day. Murad is a little pricey for me but this primer is so worth it because you can use it with pretty much any foundation and it does its job. I'm not sure how effective it is as an acne treatment but since it is a quality Murad product I know it isn't hurting my skin or causing more blemishes. But seriously, hands down the best thing for oily skin, worth every penny! Now if Murad would just start a make-up line...

I have acne prone skin, this primer is supposed to help fight acne and keep the shine away plus smooth out your foundation. Day 1, when I first applied it, it went on smooth and it kept my shine away. But when I went to wash my face that night I had 3 new blemishes. Day 2 same, at the end of the day had 2 more. Day 3-4 more.. Day 4- returned product.

I am nearly 40 with oily skin and still get breakouts. Wanted to try this because I am a fan of Murad. I've only used it a couple times so I am not sure yet how I feel about it. Know that although it looks dark (my skin is fair), it goes on with little tint at all. There is not really any coverage as far as hiding imperfections. Shine control is ok.

This is one of the best primers I've tried. I will say that I don't use it to treat acne, so I'm not sure it would be effective for those who suffer from breakouts. I'm in my 30s, have oily skin and sometimes experience acne flare ups. This product doesn't cover red bumps, but it does have a light color to it that works as a sheer foundation and evens out skin tone. If my skin has dry areas I use an "oilier" primer, like UD or Olay's Ageless, under this one -especially around my eye area.

I love how light this is and how it provides sheer coverage as well. I can use it alone or under makeup for a flawless look. I also have extremely oily skin and this has helped to keep my shine under control. I love it!

As directed, I washed and dried my face.
I applied a very small amount (about the size of a grian of rice) on a brand new foundation wedge sponge applicatior and started to lightly tap and blend on my cheek.
I noticed that it was still very dark compaired to my skin color.
I continued to blend, hoping that it would start to lighten, however to my disappointment, it did not.
I took a picture of my left side of my face which had the primer applied to it with the right side of my face which was still virgin skin.
It looks as if I used cheep spray tan that turns you orange.
I returned product the next day.

This is great as primer when you need more coverage, or as a lightweight base on those days where you just need things evened out a bit! I've used it as a primer under mineral powder bases and under other liquids. But it's also a great way to just even out skin tone and keep your skin from getting shiny during the day as a lightweight base - all on its own!
