Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I tried this foundation upon the recommendation of an ULTA store associate when I askex for assistance with finding a good medium to full coverage foundation. She did mention that it was buildable. When I applied it at home, I had to use 3X as much as I would have using a drugstore brand to get the same coverage. Overall, I think they have a great pigment selection, but the coverage just isn't there for the cost. I'll stick with the L'Oréal True Match for now, as it works the same and the pigments are also on point.

    Love this thing!!

Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I've tried SO many drugstore foundations and honestly, I didn't know how bad I had it until I tried this! It stays on for HOURS (definitely not 15 but it stays on longer than anything I've tried before). It's lightweight and covers most of my blemishes ( I use the Smashbox concealer with it anyways). I love that it's oil free, so I won't break-out! I highly recommend it! ... It's a little pricey though, but there's a lot of foundation in a bottle.

This is a fantastic foundation! I really prefer longwear and full coverage, but with my dry skin, that is not the best combination. I am a big fan of EL DW and DW light, but for my dry skin, they aren't always the best. This, though, while still slightly drying, does not settle into my creases or really dry spots. My favorite thing is that you can even touch up spots without issues! I don't think it lasts as long as EL, but it does last at least a solid 12 hrs (and that's in humid midwest heat!)

I use this foundation for big events or on nights out. It lasts a lot longer that way. It covers my redness if I use a little extra, which I don't mind.looks perfect in photos. Glides on smooth and easy to cover my whole face quickly.
It gets oily sometimes if I don't use a powder over it.

Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

So I usually buy MAC Fluid Fix, however, I was in need of new foundation but the closest MAC retailer is 30-60 minutes away. After doing some research, I decided to give this foundation a try. It is pricey, however, I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I am willing to pay top dollar for a good foundation. So the price doesn't bother me at all. Anyways, I found my shade last night, put my makeup on this morning and it is just a tad dark but I mixed it with a couple drops of my MAC lighter shade and it's the perfect blend. The Smashbox foundation will suffice once I get really tan like I usually do in the summer. But the coverage is fantastic! It's 6pm and by this time my face is shiny and oily and with this foundation it's not. Not even a little :) Very pleased with this foundation and I don't think I will be going back to MAC!

All Smashbox products are photo-tested in a professional studio environment to ensure optimal photo performance. This foundation is long wearing (15 hours!) and should not cause "flashback".

I have been matched to alabaster in Clinique super balanced foundation- the same shade in their even better foundation goes orange on me. I have also been matched to Estée Lauder double wear in ecru although in winter I tend to mix this with a lighter one. How dark do your shades come up and do you cater for neutral undertones? I am having a real problem with finding a replacement foundation for double wear as it just gets too drying. Please could you advise me on shade and whether this foundation would benefit my dry skin. Also, am I likely to go orange with this? Is it buildable? Clinique's even better foundation made me go bright orange!!

All Smashbox foundations feature neutral-to-yellow undertones (not cool/pink, and not orange). We recommend testing shades Light Golden Beige 2.2, Light Beige 2.1, and Warm Fair 1.2 at your nearest ULTA Beauty store to determine your best match:

For those with fair skin tones and yellow/warm undertones, we recommend Warm Fair 1.2, though it is always best to test the shades in person at your nearest ULTA Beauty store:
              http://www.ulta.com/ulta/stores/storelocator.jsp

Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation features a matte finish and is oil-free. It's formulated for all skin types, but it gets extra love from those with oily/combo skin types! :-)

Smashbox Cosmetics' official response regarding animal testing is detailed below:

              Do you test on animals?
We don't test on animals, nor ask others to test on our behalf, except where required by law.

              What countries require animal testing?
China, most notably, in addition to a few others that conduct testing by law of cosmetic products or ingredients to demonstrate safety.

Does Smashbox sell in any of these countries?
              No.

What are we doing to end animal testing?
Our founders launched with a commitment to end animal testing, and that commitment remains. For instance, we only conduct or commission in vitro/human volunteer testing to show our products are safe, and we're part of the European Partnership for Alternatives to Animal Testing, among other efforts.

              We hope this info helps!

              http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5580073

Studio Skin features a matte finish and medium-to-full coverage. Both foundations are oil-free and suitable for all skin types.

In Liquid Halo HD, your best match may be shade Light Beige 3 (light beige for light complexions). In Studio Skin, your best match may be shade 2.2 (light golden beige) or shade 2.1 (light beige). I don't wear any foundation or powder due to the fact that I sweat so much so easily. But I am constantly red on my cheeks and chin. Lose/lose. I fortunately don't have acne. But have sensitive/dry skin the majority of the time. unless I'm sweating, which is OFTEN. I would really like to find a foundation that is TRULY sweatproof and REALLY light weight. Any recommendations?

Studio Skin is sweat- and humidity-resistant and provides up to 15 hours of wear. It features buildable medium-to-full coverage, so it is perfect to even out skin tone and conceal redness. Studio Skin also features a lightweight, oil-free formula that is ideal for all skin types.

Smashbox Cosmetics products are developed to stand up to a professional photography environment (including hot lights!), so we think it's a great option worth trying! This foundation can be tested at your nearest ULTA store:
