This is the first foundation I have used that covers the redness and other issues I have on my face from Scleroderma. You can control how much or how little you need in different areas. It blends beautifully.

I liked this product a lot. I've tried a lot of foundations with two things in mind, for full coverage and for staying power since I have acne, and oily skin. I feel like even though its a bit of a splurge its worth it.

Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I love this foundation. I have searched high and low for a good foundation that works with my skin (doesn't make me break out) and lasts. This lasts all day, and my skin looks great. It's definitely worth the money. My only complaint is the lack of lighter shades. My skin is light and olive toned. I bought 2.1, which I thought would be great compared to other brands colors, but it was WAY too dark for me, even having a summer tan. The shade down - 1.2, however, works for the winter, but is too light in the summer and there's nothing in between. These definitely run dark. Otherwise, it's a great product and I will continue to use it.

This is my favorite prestige foundation from ULTA! I'm excessively oily and absolutely nothing stays on my face. This does the trick! It's similar to Estee Lauder Double Wear. I do find the colors tend to run warm for certain skin tones. It's more of a medium coverage, but I can get a bit more with my setting powder over it. A definite must buy, and it doesn't look weird in photos either since it doesn't have SPF. I would recommend this for any skin type as well!!!

Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation is formulated for all skin types and is oil-free. It provides a lasting matte finish. We think it's a great option for you! For those with oily skin, you can further extend this foundation's wear by either first applying a mattifying primer such as Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light, or setting your foundation using Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder - or both!

I have been matched to alabaster in Clinique super balanced foundation- the same shade in their even better foundation goes orange on me. I have also been matched to Estée Lauder double wear in ecru although in winter I tend to mix this with a lighter one. How dark do your shades come up and do you cater for neutral undertones? I am having a real problem with finding a replacement foundation for double wear as it just gets too drying. Please could you advise me on shade and whether this foundation would benefit my dry skin. Also, am I likely to go orange with this? Is it buildable? Clinique's even better foundation made me go bright orange!!

I wear Clinique pore refining solutions, #11 honey, what color would best suit me, I have fair skin with yellow undertones. I can go a shade lighter then the honey. The change after all these years is due to cruelty free products. I have oily skin and prone to breakouts, never broke out from the Clinique, but will longer purchase due to animal testing.

                    Do you test on animals?
We don't test on animals, nor ask others to test on our behalf, except where required by law.

                    What countries require animal testing?
China, most notably, in addition to a few others that conduct testing by law of cosmetic products or ingredients to demonstrate safety.

Does Smashbox sell in any of these countries?
                    No.

What are we doing to end animal testing?
Our founders launched with a commitment to end animal testing, and that commitment remains. For instance, we only conduct or commission in vitro/human volunteer testing to show our products are safe, and we're part of the European Partnership for Alternatives to Animal Testing, among other efforts.

                    We hope this info helps!

I love my Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX Foundation but got discontinued and thinking to change to this product. Is this product similar to my discontinued? My shade is Light L2, which should I use?

                    A:

The direct replacement for the discontinued Smashbox High Definition Healthy Fx Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 is the Smashbox Liquid Halo HD Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15, which features a radiant finish and sheer-to-medium coverage:

Studio Skin features a matte finish and medium-to-full coverage. Both foundations are oil-free and suitable for all skin types.

In Liquid Halo HD, your best match may be shade Light Beige 3 (light beige for light complexions). In Studio Skin, your best match may be shade 2.2 (light golden beige) or shade 2.1 (light beige). We recommend testing these products and shades at your nearest ULTA Beauty store to find your perfect match:

All Smashbox products are photo-tested in a professional studio environment to ensure optimal photo performance. This foundation is long wearing (15 hours!) and should not cause "flashback".

To further increase wear and keep skin and makeup looking fresh, first apply a Smashbox primer. We recommend Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light to keep oily skin perfectly mattified:

I don't wear any foundation or powder due to the fact that I sweat so much so easily. But I am constantly red on my cheeks and chin. Lose/lose. I fortunately don't have acne. But have sensitive/dry skin the majority of the time. unless I'm sweating, which is OFTEN. I would really like to find a foundation that is TRULY sweatproof and REALLY light weight. Any recommendations?

Studio Skin is sweat- and humidity-resistant and provides up to 15 hours of wear. It features buildable medium-to-full coverage, so it is perfect to even out skin tone and conceal redness. Studio Skin also features a lightweight, oil-free formula that is ideal for all skin types.

Smashbox Cosmetics products are developed to stand up to a professional photography environment (including hot lights!), so we think it's a great option worth trying! This foundation can be tested at your nearest ULTA store:
