I've had terrible troubles with my nails, mostly with filing them. Poor shaping, splitting, peeling, etc. Switching from those orange and white emery boards to these black ones has made a spectacular difference! Black Beauties are a finer grit and don't tear up the nail edges, the nail stays stronger and I have better control over the shaping as a finer grit goes a bit slower. A board lasts really well too, one has done three rounds of filing versus the half dozen or so the other kind demand.
Highly recommended! And thanks to the Ulta staffer who told me to try them. She knows her stuff.
