I LOVE this shampoo but give a 3 star because Ulta is no longer selling the large bottles!!!

Any clarifying shampoo will leave you hair dry and coarse feeling if you use too much, therefore, you should use these products sparingly, maybe a dime to penny-sized amount depending on how fine/thick & short/long you hair is. It is something I would suggest using once per week MAX, for the average person.
Pureology's formula is very gentle, making it as color safe as possible for this type of product, while being very effective at removing built up product/chemicals.
I don't usually leave reviews but this one I had to. This shampoo is amazing. I live in the east bay and we have very hard water. Over time it makes my hair look and feel like straw. Plus I color it (blonde) I bought this based on some online research that it is good if you have hard water. I tried it and not only did it remove all the hard water buildup but it removed the brassiness from my hair. I used the Fekkai color mask after and my hair hasn't been this soft and flowy in years!
smells good, hair looks and feels good after using
Pros
- Lathers Easily
- Leaves hair clean
- Very concentrated
Cons
Best Uses
- Weekly Clarify
I never used to use clarifying shampoo until I realized my hair was starting to get really oily at the roots and dry at the ends. I read online that using a clarifying shampoo with a hair mask after would help that. I decided to try pureology since I color my hair and like natural products. This shampoo did exactly what I thought it would and I love it. I scrubbed my roots for about 2 minutes and then the same for my ends. I rinsed it out and did it one more time. My hair was very dry and matted after I did this, but thats good because I needed a clean canvas for my hair mask. I used "It's a 10" hair mask for 5 minutes and rinsed it out. I my hair has never felt and looked smoother. It 100 x's healthier also. Great product to use a couple times a month. It's also really concentrated, so you don't have to use a lot of it. I rather pay more money for something that actually works and isn't watered down. Defiantly use a hair mask conditioner after this though.

This product probably does what it is supposed to do, it stripped my hair of everything. My hair felt like wet, matted, animal fur. I conditioned it and even put leave in conditioner on it after that. I used it twice, it just wasn't a good product for me. I had to return it. I have wavy/curly dry hair and this product made things worse. Might be good for someone with smoother, more manageable hair.
Everytime i use this shampoo my hair looks and feels like it was just done in the salon. It brings my hair back to life!!!
Doesn't mess with my color, but gets my hair and scalp really clean! And, it smells great, too!
I do appreciate Pureology's vegan ingredients and dedication to quality, however I just not in love with this shampoo, this may simply be en parte to the fact that this is my first sulfate-free effort, and takes some getting used to. My hair is mega processed bleached blonde, my skin and hair is naturally dry, so I found my hair to be a dryed out yet water retaining mess. It seemed to improve once it was dry, however. So maybe with continued use I can figure out products to enhance moisture in between.
