great powder brush!

By DrLexyCat

Comments about Real Techniques Powder Brush:

Really great powder brush for the price! I was using the Eco tools one for a long time. Tolerated that one for several years because I'm not one to waste. However, I wanted to try something new, not too Ray expensive, and hopefully make a difference in making my makeup look flawless. So far, I really like this brush's performance. It's super soft and I feel like it adds enough powder without caking on product.

I use this for my finishing powder and it works well. Is however occasionally pokey/scratchy to my face but is usually soft. Overall though I love it, it's very fluffy.

The brand is top quality. This brush and all real technique brushes I have do amazing work. Wash super easy, great for make up artist and for the regular on the go working women. I also recommend them for starters since they are well balanced, the hair is good to be use wet or dry. Cream or powder.
Great brush all together. Great prices, specially if purchase at Ulta on the buy one get the other 50% off! LOL!

                            HI Nat727,

The great thing about our Real Techniques brushes is that they are designed to be the ideal tool for whatever look you are going for.. The Powder Brush has synthetic taklon bristles, custom cut and crimped for ideal pick-up and release of most powders. The brush enables you to build and blend to your optimum coverage level, from either a natural, soft-powder look to a flawless, airbrushed finish.

                            Thanks!

                            Hope that helps!

                            Hi Bengalibarbie,

Such a great question! The wonderful thing about almost all of our Real Techniques brushes is that they have multiple uses. So, to answer your question, yes! You can use this for powder foundation, but also to apply bronzer.

I actually use mine to apply bronzer since it is so plush, it gives me that sun-kissed finish that I want.

                            Thanks!

                            Hi Princess,

Great question! Contouring & Sculpting are so on trend right now! I hadn't been asked this question before, so I went to our experts, Sam & Nic Chapman, the sisters behind the Real Techniques line, and asked them.

This Powder brush has quite a large, plush brush head and may not be the best brush for working to get the sculpted look you are going for. In terms of applying contour powder (and blending), I would recommend something with a smaller head, and possibly something with a bit more angle to it.

You could look to use our Sculpting Set (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod12191293), which has the amazing Sculpting Brush (for contour product application & great blending), a Setting brush (for highlighting) and a Fan Brush for powder application, precision contouring and some blending.

You could also look to use the Contouring brush in our Core Collection (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3220069). This brush is ideal for applying contour product as well as blending. Plus, it comes with my absolute favorite brush in the collection, the Buffing Brush!

Hope all that helps! Thanks again for a great question!
