I use on damp hair. The product says it is for fine hair but I have thick, coarse hair and it works great!
Pros
- Adds body
- De-frizzes
- Leaves hair shiny
Cons
Best Uses
I have straight shoulder blade length layered, fine and colored hair. This is one of the only products I've found for fine hair and I love it! It leaves my hair straight and frizz free - I just use a flat iron to get my ends to lay right. It leaves my hair smooth, shiny and gives just the right amount of body.
Pros
- Helps straighten
- Lite
- Smells Good
Cons
- Still Need Flat Iron
Best Uses
- Wet Hair Use Blow Dryer
I actually do not have fine hair, but the hairstylist used it on my hair, and I liked it.
Pros
- Light Weight
Cons
- Smells gross
Best Uses
This is the second redken product that I've purchased that smells. This one smells like old mold. The other one (a type of spray wax..name?), smelled offensively like old perfume. Redone needs to get straight with their smells.
I use this product regularly. it works ok! but I still have to use many other products along with it. it's good for blow drying hair straight. but I must! use a straightening iron to activate it. for me the product helps maintain a straight style long after ironing. I don't think it protects hair from heat stiling damage very much. one thing I don't like is that my hands sometimes feel sticky after touching my hair.
I've used the regular Redken Straight gel for years. Have occassionally tried other products, but always came back to Straight! But I do have fine hair, so I was thrilled to see the new Straight product for fine hair. It really works! It doesn't weigh down the hair, it really does control the curl and frizz for styling and throughout the day, and it isn't sticky or gummy. Redken continues to produce some of the best hair products on the market.
Makes straightening my hair easier and makes it less frizzy. I use it with the redken anti frizz polishing milk.
I have long thin hair in a layered cut. I bought this product to reduce flyaways and layers that were sticking out in back. I did not notice any difference. Maybe product was not made for that purpose. Would have liked to get my [$] back. It didn't make my hair look worse, it just didn't do much of anything.
Pros
- Not Greasy
- Weightless great hold
Cons
- A Little Pricey
Best Uses
I have baby-fine, thin hair and this is one of the few gels I can use that actually let me style my hair without it being weighted down with goo. Worth the price.
Use everyday. Doesn't weigh hair down.
