I was in the search for something permanent for my hair since the last products I used to dye my hair didn't last like i wanted to. So when I read Ultra, I thought it be the type of hair dye that would actually last that had "stronger" ingrediants. But I was wrong. I usually let the dye sit just a little longer then what it says on the box but it didnt even help. i felt like by the fifth wash it wasnt black anymore it was more dark brown. Not impressed with this product.

This dye is mostly more black than blue ... you will see a blue hue in the sunlight but its not super visible. So if your looking for more of a lighter blue tone its best to look for other color options. It does get on your skin and it is difficult to take off so make sure you use agents such as vaseline or nail polish to remove dye on skin. Other than that it does the job and it lasts depending on hair washes.

Easy for root touch ups and all over at home color. Always gentle and leaves hair soft and silky.

I used the dark blond (R2, I think). My hair at its roots is dark brown and gray at the temples. The rest is somewhere in between from trying everything to make the ends match the middle and the roots when I try to lighten up....THIS DOES IT!! It gets rid of the gray, it DEFINITELY lifts as it says it will, and it leaves your hair in MUCH BETTER SHAPE than most colors which are "high lift" solutions. Downside... it doesn't seem to last as long as the "normal" colors and seems to "wash out" at the ends faster (but this could be due to "overdoing it" trying to find the right product). However, it is so gentle and easy to use that touch ups and "redos" go smoothy and are easy on the hair shaft and, in a matter of 30 minutes (45 after the shower and rinse out), it's right back to the SAME COLOR that I loved the first time I tried it... from roots to ends and everywhere in between!!!

I love this product. With my long, thick, curly hair it is hard to color at home but this product is awesome! All hair color has a smell, but I didn't think it was a bad smell. The conditioner included is great & the color isn't harsh on my hair. I absolutely love this product & the dark black color with a hint of blue. I will never use another hair dye because this is simply the best!

I used this to cover my outgrowth and it covered great. Looks natural :)

Shown as blue black was not large enough on the box. Very blue not at all what the suggested colors showed on box. First time this has ever happened as I have used this brand for over three years.
