Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

Works well when used on all of your hair just a few times, blow dried or outside dried. Don't get carried away and use it like every night if you do you'll go like platinum on accident *if you don't already have blonde in your hair if you're dark brunette or black or red headed be careful it will look like a bad coppery bleach job on you!!

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

I used to get mad at people for calling me a dirty blonde, because I hated the name. Going into eighth grade, I used this in the summer and I was super blonde. I think I used a whole bottle (which I don't advise haha!) but I loved how blonde I was. I spent so much time outside that summer so I was super tan and a really pretty blonde color. I got so many compliments and it made me feel great about myself. It would be really good for an easy ombre look, or your whole head. I may try it again for this summer just on my ends. However, looking back, it did dry out my hair, which is probably why it took me so long to grow it out to where it is now (about 4 in. from my butt.) Def use sparingly. :)

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

I used to have dirty blonde hair as a kid and always wanted to go back to that color. The only thing that stopped me was that I thought I had to make salon appointments and put chemicals in my hair to make it lighter and potentially change its texture. I wasn't up for that, which is why I tried this. I won't lie, it looks really great if your hair is the right shade and is not color treated. My only problem is it's time consuming for me since I don't usually blow dry my hair in the first place, and it's hard to get an even color. I tend to tie my hair back when I'm at home and when I was using the spray consistently, I noticed the hair that showed when it was in a ponytail was considerably darker than the ends of my hair. That being said, if you put in the effort, it can be a great product. I will be looking for something more low maintenance in the meantime.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

I was very worried about using this product because i have medium brown hair and i was afraid that it would turn it orange. I sprayed it into damp hair and used a blowdryer and a straightener. Every time i used it the color change was minimal, but over time there has been a drastic difference in my hair color. My hair is now light brown with dirty blond highlights. In my opinion sun in is a great and much cheaper alternative to salon coloring. However i don't recommend using this product if you have hair darker than mine.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

So I have medium brown hair and I used this product all of spring break. All I can say is that you can call me a blonde now. This product does have great results and it's perfect to get that sun-kissed look in your hair. I would just spray it and use a comb to comb it through and lay out in the sun. By the end of the day, there was a noticeable difference. At first, my hair had more of a copper tint to it and after that it transitioned more to the blonde side. The only thing was that my hair was dried out afterwards, but that's nothing you can't fix with not adding heat to your hair unless you need to and nurturing your hair with moisturizing products. If I had dark brown/black hair, I would suggest not using it unless you want that red color.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

My mom used this product as a girl, and I've been using Sun-In ever since I hit puberty, when my golden blonde hair started darkening to a dirty blonde. There are a few things that you need to know before using this product: it is intended for people with light brown to blonde hair. If you have medium/dark brown/black hair, your results may be more reddish-blonde than platinum-blonde. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, as some people like that color (I have a friend with brown hair who uses it, and I think her reddish highlights are pretty). Another thing to know about this product is that it works best out in the heat of the sun. I know the bottle says you can blow dry it, and you certainly can, but faster and more powerful results will come from spraying it in your hair and letting dry in the direct sun & heat. Thirdly, for those who complain that this is too damaging for hair...it has hydrogen peroxide in it. It's a bleach. It's going to damage your hair, just like how swimmers' hair gets damaged and dry from chlorine. My suggestion is just to use it on your roots as they grow in (every 6-8 weeks, like regular highlighting), not weekly and certainly not every day or every other day. It's also a great product for making your hair ombre, if you don't want to mess around with root touch-ups. Anyway, if you use it minimally, and especially if you use a hydrating shampoo/conditioner, it should only damage your hair minimally. Bottom line, this is a great, cheap alternative to highlighting for people who want a natural look (not a streaky, fake highlight-y look, but rather an all-around lighter look that you can choose to add highlights to or not). In my opinion, negative reviews for this product come from misuse and misunderstanding about how it works! And always proceed with caution when permanently coloring your hair! Oh, and one more thing -- this is the same product, essentially, as the John Freida Go Blonder spray. I've used both and had great results with both, I just use Sun-In because it's about $5 cheaper.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

While I liked how my hair looked color-wise, this product is HORRIBLE for your hair. My hair seriously stopped growing after I started using this product because it made my hair so dry and brittle. I used to have nice long hair, but I had to get it cut medium length because of all the damage. You're spraying peroxide onto your hair so it's going to make it dry and brittle (even if it looks good at first). It's cheap for a reason.
