I was a little skeptical about using any kind of self-tanner, as I have never self tanned before. After doing a lot of research, trying to find the best brand and method of self tanner, I found this! After reading the reviews here I went to my local Ulta and bought the product.
First off, it's not greasy at all. I have really nice skin, but I can break out a little if ANY KIND of grease is on my face. This stuff is really lightweight, and non-greasy, so I was able to apply it to my face for some color.
It also makes my skin so soft, and doesnt irritate my skin at all.
It's been four days and I'm noticing a natural, healthy, summer glow!
And it smells GREAT!

Worth splurging and not getting Jergens. It smells great and doesn't rub off on your towels and sheets. Plus you're doing something way more natural for your skin and looking great.

I love this lotion! Everyone that says it doesn't make them tanner needs to realize this stuff is very light and gradual! It says it's a subtle self-tanner to help enhance skin's natural color and tone... I use this after I shower after I tan by the pool and helps keep that bronze glow all day. The medium shade is perfect for my olive skin tone and I saw results the first time I used it. Smells amazing too!!!

I bought my daughter the Hempz lotion for Christmas and it smelled divine! So, I wanted something for myself. I decided on this since it's winter and I'm losing my tan. I've only used it for a week but I can already see results. I use every day after I shower. Just be sure to WASH YOUR HANDS or they WILL be brown. (As with any darkening lotion)

This has a nice tropical scent, and it softens skin, but it doesn't work well for me in creating a tanned look. It definitely has a brown (instead of orangey) tone. My natural medium-olive skin actually looks better with gold and even slightly orange tones, rather than brown ones, because it gets sallow and dull-looking without any color from the sun. In Medium, this lotion doesn't develop enough color to make me look "tan" even if applied every day. I can see that my skin is brighter, but it's not darker or "sunkissed".

This is a great product if you want a subtle glow. It doesn't make me look orange and there is no streaking of color. It looks natural and light.

I usually love Hempz products so I was excited to try this self-tanner. I have a light/medium skin tone so I got the medium color. It smells better than any self-tanner I've used, but I think that's because there's no actual tanner in it. I've seen NO difference in my skin color and I've been using it everyday for a week. Unless you're extremely pale naturally, I would definitely keep looking- I recommend Australian Gold!
