I love this shampoo. I have a bit of an itchy scalp but since I've been using this shampoo no problem. I plan on trying some of the other shampoos in this line. I just wish they had a brightening shampoo for gray hair.

Having ultra sensitive skin I was told I should use sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioners. I read and researched, Alterna Bamboo had good reviews so I gave it a try. One week and I can't get a brush through my hair while it's wet, my ends are frizzing, and my hair feels nasty. I'm using the conditioner also and it feels like the conditioner can't penetrate the hair shaft. Reminded me of when I used Pantene. Yuck! Yes the smell is heavenly but that is the only good thing about it. Oh, my scalp doesn't itch either, that's a plus. Back to the drawing board for me.

I use the whole line of Bamboo Luminous Shine products every day, or every other day. I wanted an organic system, but have found I am allergic to some because of their flower essences. This line is extremely gentle on my sensitive scalp.

Love this shampoo , It gives my hair body and shine . Cleans very nice , I can even skip a day ! Everyone with really oily hair knows there aren't many shampoos out there that allow for skipping a day of washing . Love the product delivery too, easy to use . Lathers really nice . smells great !

I bought this shampoo after getting a sample and loving the smell. It cost like 4x more than any shampoo I've ever bought. I guess I really wanted that scent! The bottle was disappointingly small but I have short hair and don't use that much of it everyday.

I like the shampoo but it doesn't lather well. Being as it is on the pricey side, I don't feel like it's a good value for the money. I felt like I had to use more of it to get the "clean feeling" I wanted. I'm not sure if I will buy it again because of that, but if you don't mind the price then it is a great product.

Since I embraced the idea of non-sulfate shampoo, I think I've tried every one on the market. Many I found too heavy, leaving hair coated with 'cones. Many had disappointingly thin, wimpy lather. Some didn't seem to clean well at all. Now that I've found Alterna Bamboo, I'm like Goldilocks in the three bears' house - this one is juuuust right! First off, the scent is an amazing green floral that refreshes while you're shampooing, but doesn't linger overly much in the hair. It forms a good lather that feels rich but rinses out cleanly. And it leaves my hair in perfect condition - no need for a separate conditioner, I just follow up with the Brilliance styling balm. For the record, my hair is thick, fine, straight and highlighted. Alterna keeps the blond strands bright but not brassy, and tames my wiry grays. It's on the expensive side, but I figure it balances out since I don't need a separate conditioner. I'm on my third bottle and will continue to repurchase.
