This is the first time I've tried a NYX product in their lip color selection. This matte lip cream goes on so creamy and smooth and the color is so intense as it glides on, then poof! It becomes matte after several minutes of setting. The deepest red is striking and I got lots of compliments on it like, "It's very beautiful" and "so red!" and "lucious". Would buy it over and over again!

I have very mixed feelings about these creams. I have bought three, I love the colors and they smell divine but if your lips aren't completely perfect don't even think about wearing these alone! I bought these because I wanted a matte finish to my lips when I wear glittery or shimmery eyes but if there's a crack in your lips then good bye matte finish! They apply wet and like a gloss but a little clumpy in spots, you have to do a lot of smoothing out. They dry kind of sticky and awkward, you can't treat them as a gloss at all but that's cause they're not, they're a cream. I love the colors so much and the smell and they are workable so would keep buying them, if they were more expensive however I would not.

The color Istanbul is a lot pinker than it appears here and on the NYX site. I have really fair skin with yellowish undertones and this color doesn't quite work for me. When I have used it I tone it down with a neutral pink lipliner and it lasts a long time and feels natural which is nice. You have to be careful not to get too much product on the applicator so it applies evenly.
I'm going to try another color and see how it works.

I like trying new things, so I picked this up. The first problem is the color on the tube is exactly what is on your lips, which isn't a problem if you like bright pink lips. (Which I don't) I also didn't like the thick, heavy feel of it. It's just not for me.

The formula of the soft matte lip cream is amazing, it's very opaque and spreads easily on the lips, but after a few moments, it doesn't budge unless you wipe it off, and even then it leaves behind the smallest hint of a stain. All three shades I got smell like cupcake and there isn't much of a taste so it's good for people who lick their lips. It isn't drying normally, but on the days when my lips are cracked or flaking, I find this product sits badly even on top of lipbalm. Overall, highly recommended.

I bought this in the color Stockholm and I am in love... I don't like to put anything on my lips that contain shimmer, glitter, or excessive shine/gloss. This was PERFECT! Goes on even and opaque and isn't drying. I will be purchasing more colors.
