You have to use this with the shampoo for it to be effective. I also use the nexus pro-mend leave-in conditioner on my roots while it's still wet for that added protection. I don't have to get as many haircuts now because of split ends after using this and I straighten my hair almost everyday.

I tried a sample of this line and was amazed at how soft/smooth/bouncy my hair was after using it. I am using the conditioner and mouse while using up a different shampoo and my hair feels amazing. It's so soft and my curls/waves look great. I don't know if I had/have split ends - I don't waste time looking that close at my hair - but I love the way it feels and how easy it is to look that great. AND it's nice to get my curls/waves under control without being crunchy.

My hairdresser noticed that my hair was getting much thinner - to the point that she suggested I go to my doctor for a thyroid test (so you KNOW how bad it had gotten !!) So I went and thank goodness, it wasn't my thyroid. Turns out that it was all of the chemical stuff I was doing to my hair (color, Japanese thermal treatment, Brazilian straightening AND heavy highlights !!) So yeah, no wonder I was losing my hair - it was breaking !!!
Anyway - I started using this Nexxus Pro-Mend line (shampoo, conditioner and the daily leave-in cream) and I am losing much less hair. I am sooo happy !!! The stuff is thick, smells like marshmallows (yum!) and leaves my straw hair like silk. If you use too much though, it'll leave your hair too soft and you'll mistake that for being greasy so it's a delicate balance to get it right. My hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders. I use a little less than a quarter size on the top (like from the crown of my head to the middle back of my hair) of my head and about a quarter size through the back and ends.
Give this stuff a try - you will not regret it. But again, you need to experiment to figure out what the correct amount to use is right for you !!

After the first use, I saw a biiiiig difference in my hair! I recently ombre'd my hair & the ends immediately developed endless split ends sometimes reaching 5 inches up the hair shaft. I've been using this for weeks, along with the treatment creme & the serum & the conditioner (after about 2 weeks of use). It works better with the other 2 products. (I use those strictly on my ends)
However, I recommend you take extra care with your hair after doing things like bleaching it. If I used this at night, when I wake up in the morning the ends of my hair are sometimes just as brittle as not using it.
