Maybe I got a bad bottle? But, this stuff is terrible and I usually enjoy Sally Hansen products. I've tried this product for over a month. I've used it about 5 times and get the same results. The consistency is great it's nice and thick. That's the only good thing I can say about it. It doesn't dry well (I use one coat as directed.). It get's gummy. When it does dry, it comes right off. It doesn't chip. You can peel it off. I've tried this line's nail hardeners and top coats before. They were good. This is not so good.

A long time acrylic nail wearer,,, removed nails about two months ago and have been looking for the right product.... Been using Nail Tek which was working great but as a product junkie wanted to try something else... The Sally Hansen gel is awful! Peels right off! Going back to Nail Tek.... if it aint broke dont fix it.

I apply three coats and then a color polish and two coats on the top. Doesn't chip easy. Also applied under the nail.

I use the product once a week when I do my nails, it makes huge difference for me because my nails are thin and don't grow, with this my nails look good and it makes them harder instantly so they don't break off

I applied it in the evening and it start to chip out next morning after I took a shower. Moreover, it turned my nails in to brown color, I had to cut them and mask with another nail polish.

First of all, the consistency is thick and goopy; very difficult to apply. Secondly, it takes forever to dry, which negates any fast drying formulas you may be using for color or top coats. Thirdly, if I could include a picture, I would show you what my nails look like 2 days after painting them: three of which have peeled off completely by now in one or two neat little pieces and the rest are either chipping like crazy or have weird indentations in them of my sheets (I painted my nails more than two hours before bed, and I've never had this problem before. Maybe the one time as a stupid teenager when I decided to paint my nails 20 minues before bed, but two hours is more than enough time, and has been in the past minus this base coat). Even my awesome new, top-rated Sally Hanson professional top coat is no match for this garbage. I've used it several times now, and always with the same or similar results. I will be trying one of the better reviewed base coats instead.

I bought this a long time ago and I think I only used it once or twice. Recently though I have really been trying to take care of my nails, strengthen them and help them grow. My nails are so thin and always have been. A lot of times they peel and break easily. I grew my nails out a few years ago and got a manicure in the salon. Within 2 days I went to go put my seatbelt on and jammed my fingers against the door and my nails just shattered. It wasn't pretty. So I just kept them short. When I found this stuff in my drawer I descided to really give it a shot and see how it was on my paper thin nails. I really liked it the first few uses. It took forever to dry it seemed but when it did finally dry completely and after a few coats of it, finally made my nails hard as gel tips. It really did make my nails really strong, they didnt bend or budge. However, it seemed to peel off in a few days. I didnt really mind that because most of the time it came off in one piece and I'd rather have that then have it chip. I did notice that after about 2 weeks of use it started to bubble really bad. I've seen a few reviews on here saying not to use it as a top coat but I was using ONLY this gel to coat my nails. It took multiple coats to get them really strong. I thought it was getting too thick to use so I tried to thin it out using nail polish remover. It seemed to work for a day but it still bubbled really bad. I really wish it didn't bubble so much because I really like this stuff. I switched to using the Hards as Wraps Acrylic Gel + Nylon and that seems to work well enough. I do have to layer it on to get a similar affect as this gel. The gel + nylon dries much faster though and lasts longer without the peeling.
