It works so well! I went from a deep red to a copper color and it worked so well to get the red out of my hair. I recommend this to anybody who wants a color change or even just wants to go lighter!

It was very simple to use, It did strip the old hair color out, which was burgundy, but now hair is bright orange, it says you can redye with color of your choice afterwards, i tryed light brown, it stayed orange, I then days later, tryed ash brown, it made it brighter orange..so i am now at this moment trying buruandy again, the original color just to have something other than orange, I did call the number on the box, which was no help, she sd she needed to know the exact kind of orange, the heck if i know, said i would have to dye it something darker than orange, so here i am going back to the same color i was stripping out. I usually use color oops, but the store was out so I figured I would try this. It destroyed my hair! I had it on for less than five minutes. I hadn't even finished applying it when I noticed big chunks of my hair had turned completely white and some had started breaking off. This is not a dye remover. It is a low quality bleach that will destroy your hair. If you need to remove dye use Color Oops. It removes dye well with minimal damage.

I expected something that would strip the color off my hair, like other products I had used in the past with similar named, all it is is straight powder blue hair bleach sold at 4 times its typical beauty store price. It not only stripped my mistake color but bleached my roots that were a level 6, into a level 9...ruining the texture of my hair...so so upset.

I colored my dark blonde hair black for 15 years and this product took all the color out. My hair was a weird orange but the color was out. I did have to use 4 bottles but my hair is very thick and long. I recolored my hair comparing to an old high school photo and I also cut all my hair off to shoulder length. Something new for myself. This stuff works!

                      • Oops

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Haircolor Remover:

                      So my quick story:
I had black in my underside of my hair. I was warned not to ever use black for it's really hard to get out. With my natural stubbornness, I did it anyways. =/

Ive been trying for weeks to get it to lighten up so I can add some streaks of color. Ive tried many products without bleaching it. I even tried the hydrogen peroxide tip. Nothing worked. Nothing even faded it. -.-

I tried this, being doubtful at first. But even 15 minutes in, I could see it coming out! My hair is dry now in a sunset burnt orange color and ready to do the 2nd dye. My hair isn't overly dry or breaking. I also have thick hair and I don't ever blow-dry it, and rarely straighten it.

I think the only part I could complain about was the texture of the mix. I was worried it wasn't mixed well enough because it's powder mix with liquid. Also, I only did the under part of my hair. So maybe a third of my head overall. I would definitely have to buy more than 1 box to do my whole head. =/

I read the reviews on color oops and decided to give it a try. I got to the store and saw this product, loreal hair color remover was on the shelf also. I read how horrible color oops smells and decided to pick this one up instead. Let me give you a brief history of what happened to my hair.

I am a natural medium brown color and have colored my hair many times. I decided I wanted to go blonde so I cut my hair short and spent a lot of money and time to get the blonde color I desired. After a few months of being blonde, I began to grow tired of re coloring my roots every couple weeks. I would do it myself and I admit I am not the best with getting every single spot so I was often left with dark spots underneath my hair. Because of this I thought it would be best to just go back brown. Immediately after I colored my hair I hated it! It was too dark in some spots, almost black and some of my hair actually looked green (i am guessing from the brown not coloring over the blonde correctly). After 3 days, I decided I couldnt live with it. I knew bleaching was not an option so I went after this product instead.

It didn't smell bad at all, and was actally really easy to apply (though a little runny). After a few minutes I could already see my hair getting lighter. I left it on for 30 minutes and couldn't believe It actually went back to *almost* looking like before. Of course, it is more strawberry colored than I wanted but the product does exactly what it said it would do! Those of you reviewing that it left your hair multiple colors I am guessing you didnt read the box. It WILL come out different colors but the purpose is for you to be able to color it a different color. It says so clear as day on the box and in the instructions.

The only con I have is that yes, it left my hair pretty dry. I have decided to leave it alone for a while and let my roots grow a little before I attempt anything and I think I will go to a professional next time!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Haircolor Remover:

I am a licensed hairdresser. Last night I was touching up my boyfriends bleached hair before a very important job interview that he would have today. After the bleach I used a toner that I have used before and usually get amazing results. For whatever reason though this time it turned his hair BLUE! It was around midnight so there were no professional beauty shops open for me to buy something to fix his hair. As much as it killed me to do it my only option was to purchas this product and hope for the best. It was very user friendly and it absolutely worked! And fast! In about 5 minutes it was all back to blonde. I am totally amazed. I hope that I never have to use this product again but if a color oops happens again it's nice to know that something's out there at a very reasonable price to help out. I'm only giving it 4 stars because this is a BLEACH PRODUCT. If you don't know what your doing it can and will trash your hair. Do a strand test first and have another color handy to put on after the remover is washed out because it is a bleach product and your hair is most likely going to be a sunset.
