Comments about Conair Xtreme Big Curls Hairsetter:

These rollers heat up quickly. There are twelve rollers and twelve claw clips. If I had a suggestion with using this product, I would say to give yourself time to let the rollers cool down before taking them out then lightly spraying the curls before shaking out. I am very pleased with this set.

Comments about Conair Xtreme Big Curls Hairsetter:

I used to using small 5 rolleers big curls pink one for long time (about 3yeas) I loved it.I got tired using pink so I bought blue one, but I din't like it at all. It need to be a individual rollers holder(metal heater) like a other one (pink)
I bought it because of the color.I returned next day.

        Thank you

Not as good as the original big curls. Rollers are smaller and difficult to handle due to hot spots.

Comments about Conair Xtreme Big Curls Hairsetter:

I bought this after reading the reviews on here and I love it! My hair has never look better. It looks like I spend hours curling it when I only spend about 5 minutes. This size curl is perfect for my shoulder length hair and it gives me so much volume. I get compliments all the time when I use this curler. If you want volume and curls and don't have the time or skill to curl your hair, get this!!!! You will not regret it. On the side note, this hairsetter heats up very quick and the clips are easy to apply. I use the plastic ones but it also comes with the old-school metal ones. You plug it in when you want it to heat up and you unplug when you are done. Very efficient. Very easy.

            Left dents in my hair

Comments about Conair Xtreme Big Curls Hairsetter:

I liked the claw clips that came with these rollers, and it was easy to actually roll my long, fine/thin hair, but the curls had visible dents. The rollers heat up on a metal bar, so they have a slit that goes the length of the roller (resulting in an opening along two sides of each roller). These slits left a dent in my hair, so instead of smooth curls, I got hair that looked as if it had been crimped then curled. I returned it.

These rollers did NOT work at all. I let them heat up for 5-10 minutes or so. I left them in my hair for over 45 minutes. When I took them out, nothing. My hair was still straight. I know how to use rollers and these did nothing. My hair was clean, no products were used. Maybe if someone uses hair spray, they may get a better result but I wanted to see what the product alone would do. Only one positive thing about this set...it comes with plastic clips and metal pins.

Love these hot rollers! I have just above shoulder length hair and my hairdresser suggested them as he has used them to simulate a blow out by a professional. So great, put them in and leave about 5 minutes ~ take out and brush ~ hair looks smooth and like professionally blow dried out. Best thing is style lasts for several days with a brief brushing. LOVE these, hair looks great with minimal effort. Highly recommend!

The Xtreme Big Curls hairsetter works on all hair types. The rollers have a heat temp of 194-239 degrees F. This hairsetter will give big waves, not tight curls. If you are worried about your hair holding the curl, you can try using a hairspray after curling your hair to lock in the style, such as the John Frieda Frizz Ease Keraforce Intense Hold Hairspray (Ulta Sku #228383).

Are the rollers smooth all the way around the barrel? I hate it when there is a split - it makes it more difficult to roll my hair because I don't want the ends of my hair to fall on that break in the smooth surface.

                                A:

The rollers are not smooth all the way around the barrel. There is a split in the middle of the rollers, as it is used for insertion on the heating plate to heat the rollers. This prong should not get in the way of rolling your hair. It is angled horizontally on the roller and not vertically.Try putting the ends of your hair on the opposite side of the split so that they do not fall in/on the break.

If you are looking for a hairsetter that is smooth all around, with no split in the barrel, try Conair's More Big Curls Hairsetter http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=prod6501485. This hairsetter has a smooth barrel all the way around, a similarly sized barrel and also the velvetey texture that the Xtreme Big Curls Hairsetter has.

Although there is no designated spot to keep the clips, once the unit is unplugged and cooled off, you can store the clips in-between or on top the curlers inside the unit.

This hairsetter works to curl all hair types and textures! For fine hair, we recommend setting your curls with a medium- to firm-hold hairspray to create a lasting style.
