Epilators are not easy to find in the U.S., so after my first Panasonic from Europe had quit on me, I had to buy the only one I could find, a Remington. It didn't last 5 months, was noisy, and was not nearly as gentle as this Panasonic- among other problems. I also have additional parts - shaver, trimmer, face epilator - from my European model that fit this Panasonic. It is as easy to use as a razor but without the stubble. I always use it wet with just a dab of shower gel. I would be very hesitant to ever change types again.

I mostly wanted this for the epilator. I like the shave option and that it is all wet/dry. I like the trimmer option even though the trimmer didn't seem to work very well when I tried it.

I have been using an epilator for years. My old one was starting to slow down, so bought this one. It is great! Does not pull or pinch the skin, like original epilators, I like the fact that is can be used wet or dry. I bought this one for a second home we have in Florida. So now I have two. I like that it is rechargable, so you don't have to use it with a cord. The only negative thing about it, is that it does not have a light on it. Otherwise I would give it 6 stars.

If you have coarse or dark hair, epillating would be a great option for you, otherwise with fine hair, it's better to stick with regular shavers and just put up with the constant maintenance, because you'll end up using the epillator frequently to clean up the fine hairs as they finally get long enough to catch anyways. I would not recommend it for bikini or armpit areas, it's extremely painful and promotes ingrown hairs.

The machine itself was great for what it's designed for, I'd recommend it because it wasn't very painful, it was just a bad fit for me. I'll have to return it and go back to almost daily shaving, which I was hoping to get around.

Epilators hurt in general when you're not used to them but being able to use it in the shower and still be effective helps to reduce irritation

I have fine hair and don't like letting my hair grow long enough to wax. I have used other epilators that give me a closer shave compared to this epilator. I was disappointed enough to return it and repurchase the epilator I've used prior to this product.

The product does manage to reduce the number of times you normally have to shave with a razor. The Directions are very helpful especially when being a newbie using an epilator. The epilator also comes with an easily interchangeable trimmer and electric shaver that can also be used in the shower.

I tried the Epiglide 5 times. It's painful...more painful than waxing and left red bumps that took days to go away. I used it in the shower 4 times and the last time tried it dry and the results were the same. The best result is when you hold down the skin tight and the move the Epiglide over it. This device is best for legs and is less effective under your arms or any area you can't hold the skin tight- and by tight I do mean tight or you will feel each hair being pulled more.

I have had problems with shaving my underarms for a long time. I have very fair, sensitive skin with very dark, thick hair in that area. Shaving was a nightmare & waxing became very expensive. This product is amazing! The first time I used it, it was a little painful, but not as painful as waxing. My underarms were also very red and sore. But the next day, the redness was gone and my underarms looked great. I've been using this product for about a week. Hair has still not started to grow back. The wonderful thing is that hair does not have to be long in order to use the epillator. Whenever I notice a hair that has started to grow, I can immediately get rid of it.
