I don't usually wear a lot of make-up but, I'm getting more freckles on my face and it was my birthday so my mom bought this item for me. I would have to say that it makes my skin feel dry and flaky. It does give a matte effect on the skin. I haven't tried just the powder without the base yet but, it would probably be better for my skin type just to use one or the other. It is smooth on the skin.

The only problem I have with this product, is when I got it home I noticed it was cracked down the middle. The next day it crumbled to pieces. What a mess.

I use this product every day. Only if I want extra coverage do I use the tarte primer. I am 48 and have always had breakout..because of makeups. Not with this stuff! I have used LaCome for 25 yrs. Wish I had made the swith sooner..My complection has NEVER been better!
