I have thick hair, so I need a brush that will grab my hair and hold it while I'm blow drying. This does just that! I usually lose a couple of bristles each time I use it, but that won't keep me from buying this brush again.

the brush works great for straightening wavy hair. However, the bristles do not hold up with professional hair dryers. They burn and shorten then damage your hair. Not worth the price or potential damage to hair.

It was time to replace my boar/nylon brush that I've had for 12 years. I tried many other brands (at least 5 other brushes to replace it) and none of them felt good in my hand, or against my head. I expected the same disappointment with this brush. But I was happily mistaken! I love how it grabs hold (gently, yet firmly) of the section of hair I'm focusing on, and every single hair easily wraps around the barrel. No more struggling to get those runaway hairs to cooperate. It didn't pull from the root, but styled my hair wonderfully. I can finally retire my poor old hair brush now. I've found the perfect replacement. I have fine, wiry hair - grey - which I color blonde and I've had a problem with other brushed pulling my hair out, or not smoothing my wiry hair. This worked. It's a keeper. :)

I read good reviews about this brand of brush and was looking for something that would condition my hair and decrease frizz- I did not find it in this brush. I have thin fine hair that has a slight natural wave (not pretty waves- more frizzy) and the brush really did grip hair but after blow drying it with this brush I looked like I had stuck my finger in a light socket! Looked awful! I think if you have thick hair it would be better- for all of you ladies with thin fine hair- look elsewhere for a brush

This brush was junk. I used it once, it dropped on the tile in my bathroom (about a 3 foot drop), and the handle snapped off! BTW: the handle is made out of wood and wrapped with rubber. It looked sturdy but it definitely was not. I had to dry my hair by holding the round bristle barrel - the barrel really heats up!Luckily, Ulta took is back and I got a sturdier brush from another brand.
