I received a sample of this mascara in black and really liked the brush and the coverage. The formula glides on smoothly but is slightly sticky, so be fast if you are going to re-coat to redefine. Liking the coverage I really wanted to try the espresso color. I have light skin, blue eyes and medium brown hair. I felt that in the day time and in general use a dark brown would look better than pure black. I have to say I love the brown. It is dark enough to create definition and contrast and be very pretty. I think the black was a little too harsh for me and I love the dark warmth this offers for my complexion. For those wanting to try it out I would give it a go! I have tried the other BM mascara wands and much prefer this brush to the others. Even though it is volumizing I think the formula glides well enough to give that extra extension for those that want lengthening as well.

Hate this mascara which im surprised to say since I love and only use bare minerals. Im surprised that no other reviews have mentioned flaking and smudging problems. I have even tried new tubes within a couple weeks span and came out with the same results. Im done using this unless they create a better formula.
