I tend to break combs and/or handles off of combs simply brushing through, detangling my hair- this one seems to hold up to 28" of hair so far, handle and all!

They say you get what you pay for but not in this case. Even though this comb is inexpensive it is horrible to use. I have fine hair and it does not comb through without digging into your scalp. You can spend less and still get a decent comb. I have purchased similar comb at similar price at my local grocery and it is better quality, easier use and less abrasive.

I use the comb in the shower as I'm rinsing the conditioner out of my hair to help prevent tangling, and then once I get out and towel dry my hair to get it and keep it detangled. I know most people say you're supposed to use a wide-toothed comb on wet/damp hair, but I don't find this is any less effective. It's got a nice long handle which makes it easy to grip and use. It detangles my fine, straight hair well. I don't use it once my hair is dry because I find it doesn't run through my hair as smoothly; and it definitely doesn't detangle my dry hair! All it would do is rip out the knots!
Good comb for the price, easy to use on wet hair. Nothing fabulous about it though.

I used this comb to even apply shampoo in my hair and when my hair was dry wow it was noticeably shinier and smoother. i would suggest the wide tooth shampoo comb though if you have thick hair like me because there were some moments when i hit a tangle and the teeth felt like they might break off but then again my hair is super thick and curly so maybe its just me hope this helps
