      Comments about Conair Compact Hairsetter:

i got these hot rollers and they are my favorite out of the 3 i have. great end results, clips work great. everything is good except the little rollers don't stay hot for long and the bottom of the setter gets hot and the posts that the rollers get on are easy to burn your hands on. other than that they are really great

        Comments about Conair Compact Hairsetter:

I have been using Conair's Compact Hairsetter rollers for more than 5 years. It could actually be closer to 10 years. They work GREAT with my hair which is fine, wavy to curly, depending on length. At this time my hair is long and extremely wavy.

The way I use them is, the smallest rollers around my face - 1 for the bangs and 4 total on the left and right of my face. Then I use the largest rollers on the top of my head going directly down to the back and stop mid-section. Then I use 1 or 2 of the mediums to have more curl at the back-end, where my hair is longest (I want there to be more curl, rather than relaxed). I use the medium rollers on the rest of my hair, which rounds out my ends; works beautifully. When I remove the rollers I shake out for long curls or finger through for shorter prounced curls.

Females of all ages compliment my curls and ask how do I style my hair. When a man compliments my hair I'm like, "really, thanks!", it's surprisingly nice.

I read a comment, someone mentioned these take long to warm up, I've NEVER had that problem and they get EXTREMELY hot - OUCH! hot.

Before I get in the shower I plug them in, or I can also plug them in right before I start to blow dry my hair - doesn't matter when, they are always ready, hot and easy to use. And the stainless steel clips are 110% better than the plastic butterfly clips. I leave them in anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes (depending on time constraint) while I tend to other tasks, which is great as I'm not standing in front of a mirror with a curling iron doing one strand at at time.

I'd like to say I hope this review helps, but truth is everyones hair is different.

          Comments about Conair Compact Hairsetter:

I wasted my time and energy with these curlers. They are very easy to use, the clips are easy and they hold in place well. HOWEVER, they did not curly my hair. Within 10 minutes of taking out the curlers, the little curl that was there was pretty much gone. I didn't use any "pre-product" so that could be part of my problem, however not happy with the results.

I have naturally curly hair so I use rollers to straighten my hair into more manageable curls. The only thing I dislike about the product is that I need to remember to take the clips out before heating or they get too hot to touch.

These reminded me of my teen years when hot rollers first came out from Clairol. I had some others I bought that were velveteen coating on rollers. I hated them, because they would not curl my hair. THESE FROM CONAIR ARE GREAT AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT AS WELL. KEPT MY HAIR CURLED FOR 2 DAYS BEFORE I REWASHED MY HAIR. And being in my 60's I have tried several other brands. LOVE THEM!

Since I use a flat iron at 400° to strighted my hair, I have found some hot rollers to cool to curl my hair. While I don't expect the hot rollers to be THAT hot (I couldn't touch them). I'm just wondering if you think these would work for me. I only plan on using them on the top layer to create some long loose curls.

The smaller the diameter of the roller, the tighter the curl. Rollers will curl most hair types.
