Ask a Question

Tourmaline ceramic technology emits natural ions to eliminate frizz, powerful ceramic heater with ultra high heat levels 395f/200c, and 5 led temperature settings for every hair type. 1/2 in. to 1 in. tapered barrel.

The Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler uses tourmaline ceramic technology to help protect hair from damaging hot spots, reduce frizz and create soft, silky, curls. There are five LED temperature settings for every hair type:

  • Power/Low 285F - Delicate, thin, easy-to-curl hair
  • Medium 310F - Average-to-thick or treated hair
  • Med-High 330F - Thick or wavy hair
  • High/Max 360F - 400F - Hard-to-curl hair

For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair. Take a 1" wide section of hair, starting 2" from the scalp. Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel towards the cool tip. Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5-8 seconds depending on hair type (5 seconds for thin/delicate hair and 8 seconds for thicker/harder to curl hair), and then release. No clamp allows you to easily curl hair without kinks. To "set" the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.

Styling Tip: For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls, roll more hair.

Comments about Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler:

I got this product after contemplating and researching which curling wand I wanted for months. But boy am o happy I went with this one. My hard to curl thick, straight hair is in beautiful spirals in a matter of 25 minutes. The first time I used it , I kept accidentally unplugging it , but that issue was easily fixed my using it with an extension cord that fitted more snug in the outlet. The curls stay in for 2-3 days without hairspray. im soooo happy with this wand.

Comments about Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler:

Very difficult to get the hang of this wand but once you use it quite a few times and fight with it you'll be a full on pro. I love this wand! It's been my best friend for years and still completely satisfied with it. Works great still on my medium length thick hair. Conair has always surpassed my expectations

You need shoulder length hair to long hair to use this product. It is not as simple as the older curling irons. It comes with a glove that allows you to hold the curl in place.

This curling iron was recommended to me by the store clerk. I wanted pretty, soft, wavy curls like the box described. What I got was kinky, "Curly Sue," 2 inch curls. It was very difficult to use on top of not giving me the curls that I wanted. I returned the item and the next day. If you are not looking for itty bitty, 80s ringlets I would not recommend it.

My hair cut is a short angled bob. I was sick of just wearing it straight everyday and I'm not the best at styling my hair other ways. I decided to give this wand a try. Once I got the hang of it, it became so easy and quick! It took a few times to figure out how to make it work for me. My shorter pieces kept slipping off but with practice I feel like it works great. My hair always looks full and shiny when I'm finished

It worked okay for me. My hair is wavy with medium length. I had my hair straight when I used the wand. I didn't really like it. For me it took too long to achieve any waves. I actually ended up using my old curling iron instead. I returned this one.

No, this Curling Wand is not dual voltage. This unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC. For a dual voltage curling wand, you can try Conair's line of Instant Heat Curling Irons, available in 3/4 inch-1 1/4 inch barrels.

The barrel of the curling wand gets hot to touch. The unit is hot when in use. Do not let heated surface touch eyes or skin. Do not place the heated unit directly on
any surface while it is hot or plugged in.

My hair is hard to curl and nothing makes curls stay. I hate using hairspray. Will the curls last a long time or will I need hairspray with this iron?

                      A:

It depends on what type of hair you have. Although this wand has a high heat of 400 degrees, if your hair is hard to curl and does not usually hold a curl, you will most likely need to use hair spray to help lock in the style.

                  • Q:

I can't decide weather to get this wand ore the XL wand. Which one gives you both a tight and loose curl? What are the pros and cons of each?
Asked on 3/7/2015 by Heh from Chicago, US

                    1 answer

                    • Brand Expert

                      A:

The XL wand gives a looser curl because it has a barrel size of 1-1/4" to 3/4 vs. the Curling Wand Styler that has a size of 1/2 in. to 1 in. The wands are pretty similar to each other, aside from the barrel size. The Curling Wand Styler does not have silicone strips on the barrel, while the XL version does. The silicone strips are used to help keep the hair in place when styling. Both wands use tourmaline, ceramic technology and have a high heat of 400 degrees. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser, free flowing curls, roll more hair. The XL Wand gives more of a wavy look, while the Curling Wand styler would provide more of a curl.

                      A:

Yes, the Infiniti Curling Wand styler is good for use on all hair types, as long as your hair is long enough to be curled. For thicker, harder to curl hair, you can use a higher heat temperature and hold the wand in your hair for a longer period of time.

Should I get the 1/2 in to 1 in wand or the 3/4 in to 1-1/2 wand? I don't want super tight curls...
