Comments about Stila The Makeup Player:
I loved the make up that came with the player. The player itself is perfect for those of us who love to listen to music when getting ready. So simple.
Comments about Stila The Makeup Player:
Contains basic beauty products and an integrated MP3 speaker system for your Ipod.
Comments about Stila The Makeup Player:
I'm a bellydancer and I use it to store and transport my performance makeup. It could be a little roomier for that purpose, but it all fit, including false eyelashes. I do wish that the case had a few little dividers so that small travel size bottles of foundation and glitter glue could stay upright.
The case is very functional and I love the zipper -- it feels bombproof and I don't worry about it coming open and spilling hundreds of dollars worth of cosmetics onto the sidewalk. The mirror is generous. The patent is stylish and the handle is convenient. The quality of the case is great and all my friends ooooh and aaaaah over it.
I purchased it solely on a whim, because it is so fun! I really did not need a makeup carrier as my makeup bags were totally fine, but it is nice to have it organized to where I can see it all.
Also, usually when we get ready, we are at the dance studio with a LOUD stereo system available, but who could resist the mp3 plug in, the zipper and the patent leather? Not I! It would be convenient for a hotel room where you may not have access to speaker or in the dressing room of a restaurant or other venue.
I do wish that there were a plug-in option. I despair of the incessant battery use. However, for infrequent use, rechargeable batteries will be okay.
The brush is wonderful, the blush, contrary to other reviews I've read, is fine on my olive complexion. The texture and consistency of it is wonderful and it's very easy to use. The eyeshadow trio is nice, too, very natural. Not good for performance. I don't care for the lip gloss. I found it to be very gloppy and the color is negligible. There are many others I prefer.

Honestly this is the best thing I have from Ulta.
It has never failed on me. The mirror is a great size, it has great sound.
I could just by it over again.

Comments about Stila The Makeup Player:
i just came back from my trip. I used this with my ipod while putting on my makeup (great sized mirror) and out on the patio, watching the ocean listening to my tunes. :) I even carried it to the pool (zipped up)to play some music for my friend.

Comments about Stila The Makeup Player:
The Stila Makeup Player is, all things considered, a great value...an eyeshadow trio in a refillable pot, Stila's awesome Lip Glaze, and Convertible Color for lips and cheeks plus a brush and a how-to DVD, all in a roomy makeup case that doubles as a speaker system for your MP3 player. I've seen the case on other sites for about $20 more than ULTA's price, and I thought this was a good deal. And it is, but there are two caveats that I have to mention. First, this version doesn't have the One-Step Makeup that the $70 versions offer. If you don't wear liquid foundation, have very oily skin, or have a hard-to-match skintone (I fit into all three categories), this shouldn't be a deal-breaker, but it's a little bit disappointing. Second, the Convertible Color is only offered in Camellia, a weird pinkish-tan that may not be flattering on very fair complexions (the $70 versions offer Rose CC for darker skin tones). Still, the pros far outweigh the cons. The eyeshadow trio is a lovely neutral bronze tone, perfect for daywear (although I would have preferred a bit less shimmer), and it comes with a travel-sized #7 brush for application. The Lip Glaze comes in Grapefruit, a pretty light pink that matches the Convertible Color nicely. I will admit to some frustration with the Lip Glaze packaging; while the brush makes for a nice applicator, getting the product into the brush can be aggravating. It can take several clicks to get the Glaze up into the brush, nothing happens, and then suddenly GLORP. It needs work. The case itself is nice and roomy, roughly 9" by 8 1/2" by 5", in a pretty black patent finish, and it has a large mirror so you won't have to squint and move around trying to see one bit of your face at a time. And the main gimmick - the speaker system - is surprisingly robust. Not bad at all.Bottom line? I've seen cases by themselves that cost just as much or more, and this is worth it just for the makeup. If you like Stila or are in the market for a good midsize makeup case, the Makeup Player is a great pick.

Comments about Stila The Makeup Player:
Mirror should be magnified for easier makeup application. The mirror top falls back to far, so I have to use something to prop it up. Not very useful as a makeup station to apply. But it is a great case to store makeup and the mp3 rocks!

Good for traveling, large mirror for putting on make up. Music sound very good. Very good looking! Only complaint is that its not very roomy for all my makeup but it is great for traveling. :)
