I bought this for my teenage daughter who has period bad acne. It seems to be improving her skin a bit. I think we need to continue to use a little longer to tell the true results. It has caused some dryness, but I think that's to be expected.

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Sensitive Skin System:

I use AcneFree. Waaay better than proactive IMO. And they have a sensitive skin version. If you have really oily skin use the original version but use the sensitive skin version if your skin is prone to drying out.

My only word of warning. When I first started using it my skin peeled bad for the first few days. I had really dry flaky skin so I think I had a lot of build up to get rid of. My superficial pimples went away within a couple of days but my deep pimples took a few months to work out.

I've recommended it to several friends who have tried several solutions like proactive before. They all swear by AcneFree now.

This was extremely drying and irritating. My skin would peel if I put a dime sized amount of the hdrating repair lotion on my breakouts.

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Sensitive Skin System:

As an adult it's so embarrassing to have acne. At work, and socially it is hard to look someone in the eye when all you can think about is the nasty breakout. Anyhow, I have tried everything, I mean everything! Spent tons of money to only have my skin clear for a few days. I tried these products and within one day, things started to look better! Now one week later the stubborn area I keep having problems with is gone! Nice!

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Sensitive Skin System:

I work out 6-7 days a week and with how much I sweat, I found my face breaking out more and more. I needed something to help clear up my skin by not dry it out. I found this product and after comparing it to multiple other products in the store, I decided to give it a try. It says it is for sensitive skin, which I don't necessarily have, but figured it would be even better and wouldn't dry my face out. Not the case. I started using it twice a day like it recommended. The face wash and the toner work great and leave my skin feeling soft and smooth and clean and my face seems to be clearing up. However, the hydrating lotion is awful. The first few days I was only using it as spot treatment like the directions suggested. After that I started using it all over my face. It not only started making my skin dry, it also irritated it. For a product that states it is sensitive, this part of it certainly wasn't. I have stopped using it all over the face and really only use it for spot treatment. That seems to work better and not dry my skin out so quickly. Not sure that I will be buying this product again. May look for something that better suits my needs.

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Sensitive Skin System:

I have dealt with acne since I was a teenager. I was always hyped on ProActiv, but it's so expensive. I have sensitive skin, slighty oily, and I really hate using new products on my face. At first, my face was little red and dry while using this product (sensitive formula, but it adjusted after a few days.

It took about 1-1.5 weeks to start noticing a huge difference in my acne. I have been using this for about 2 months now, and my skin has been extremely clear. I would say that this product is significantly better and cheaper than ProActiv.

                  I highly recommend!

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Sensitive Skin System:

Overall, I think this product is wonderful and I have tried EVERYTHING - and I am serious. I have done Proactiv, Clearasil, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Clinique, even a different version of Acne Free, as well as going to a dermatologist for prescriptions.

Before I go any further on what I've tried and how they have failed me, I can tell you that my skin is oily to combination oily. I would never have anything severe or even too bad - mostly just little blemishes here and there (especially if I touched my face) and scattered white heads on my forehead. Back to how I have done everything to combat the oily skin/whiteheads/small blemishes, I eventually got a prescription for Retin-A and Benzaclin, both strong benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid acne treatments. Great! It wasn't until the healthcare change that my healthcare stopped covering the medications (even the generics) and wanted (no joke) around $700 for one, not even both! I had to find something different.

Alas, a year later I stumbled upon Acne Free Sensitive. I have the issue where things will be going great with my skin and then, BAM, I used too much product (benzoyl peroxide/salicylic acid) and my skin dries out severely in those areas and even tends to peel. Read the directions on this - "start slowly with acne treatment/moisturizer" - so I did. And I'm not joking, it has been just over a week and a half and my skin feels so much better than it had been for the past few months. My oil isn't incredibly gone, but that's because I do put a lightweight moisturizer on after the treatment because I was feeling a little drier than normal which made me cautious.

That being said, follow the directions and if your skin is similar to mine, it should do very, very well. Especially at about $20 which you really cannot beat. However, the only thing I wish is that this kit came with a lightweight moisturizer without medication in it - just something light to provide a little bit extra to counter the drying effect of the acne treatment. But I love this and hope it continues to show me great results!
