My room mate has one and I played around with hers many times before deciding to purchase this product since the price is so steep. Inevitably I decided to purchase the instyler because I love the way it takes my otherwise dry and flat hair to having lots if volume and shine. It just overall makes your hair look healthier.

I got this product several years ago after seeing it advertised on TV, and had a special deal: buy one, get one free. I loved it - it's fast, easy and added volume to my thin, fine hair. I stored the second one to have for when the first wore out, but after a couple of years my daughter - who's big on cleaning out MY closets, talked me into donating the spare. Sure enough, a few months later mine broke. Now I'm looking for another good deal on it - I miss it!

I bought the instyler because regular flat irons tend to make my hair too flat. After several hours it looks oily. The main thing about the instyler I didn't like was the brushes pulled my hair. It also didn't straighten as well as I expected.

I never would have looked twice at this hair styler if a friend had not suggested it to me. I figured it was just a gimic "as seen on tv" gadgit. Its NOT. It truly takes my frizzy half wavy, half curly hair and smooths it into a nice look in no time! I was so surprised how well it worked for me. I DO NOT like to take too much time to get ready. This works so good you will be shocked. The price was a bit steep but I thankfuly had a gift certificate to use. Try this if you want smooth shiny hair. You will not be dissapointed trust me!

I was very excited when I purchased this product, but was not Satisfied with it. All it does is make my hair Pin straight, nothing else. It does Not curl or create a Wave. And it gets Extrememly Hot. The barrel made contact with my skin for a second and left behind a hedious burn on my ear and my forehead!

I was debating between buying the Chi and trying this one--and I plan on returning the Instyler.
I have been a Chi user for the past ten years, and I recently needed to purchase a new one. While on a trip to Ulta, I ran across a display for the Instyler and purchased it instead. I wasn't impressed by it, and thought it was difficult to use. In addition, my hair wasn't as straight or as shiny as it was with the Chi.
