Comments about Studio Gear Matte Foundation:

I originally went in to try another brand and the lady recommended I try this one. She tried this foundation on with the primer, powder foundation, and blush.
I am not impressed. I have combination skin but the finish did not look smooth. I have an oily t-zone but it made my skin look dry and older looking in my opinion. It settled in my smile lines (w/ a primer!) and I do not think it is worth it. I had a nicer finish using Garnier BB Cream with my moisturizer. I would say the coverage is aboout medium. The only factor that I loved about it was the fact that it was paraben, oil, and fragrance free. But for the price and unflattering finish I will be returning.

Comments about Studio Gear Matte Foundation:

I did not come to Ulta with the intention to buy this foundation but a nice lady there applied it on my face perfectly and I loved it. It has amazing full coverage! It covers up my acne, acne scars and the dark circles under my eyes so I wouldn't need a concealer at all. I also have oily/combination, acne prone, sensitive skin so this was perfect since it cuts down on oil and bacteria. BUT when I went outside(under natural light)my face looked darker and very orange which is a huge problem for me because I have EXTREMELY fair skin with pink undertones. If you don't have very fair skin and have more neutral or warm undertones this is great makeup and I would recommend this to you. Also as the day goes on my T-zone gets oily, its held up pretty good so far (about 5 hrs since application)and it doesn't look oily but if I touch my face it feels a little sticky and the foundation does come off on my fingers. So I will be taking this back soon and my perfect foundation hunt will continue.

Comments about Studio Gear Matte Foundation:

I went to the Ulta store to try some quality make up to see if there is a difference. After trying this product I vote yes. I am 63 and the consultant said mature, lol, skin should not use powder foundation. I love the matte finish, which I apply with a brush. This was recommended by the consultant also and I was able to use less product and the coverage was good and did not feel heavy on my face. I went back to try the non matte finish but I felt the coverage was not as good. The matte covers all the fine lines.

Comments about Studio Gear Matte Foundation:

This product goes on pretty smoothly, and you don't need much of it. The pigmentation is decent, however, I find that it does not do much for blemishes. I needed to use lots of concealer with it. It also looks matte and smooth on the areas of my face with no/little oil, but my nose quickly became shiny, so it doesn't really stop the oil or cover it up. Also, I bought the lightest shade, bisque, and it is still a bit too dark and too yellow for me. This isn't a bad foundation, but I don't find it that much better than my $10 Covergirl foundation. My quest for a good foundation will continue. If you don't have very oily patches or many blemishes, and you're not transparent like me, this would probably be a good foundation.

blends so well you get that air brushed smooth look. I get so many compliments on my smooth flawless skin. I do not like mineral makeup I still prefer a liquid foundation and this is the best I have found and I have tried a lot to get that perfect product
