Comments about Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder:

I love and buy a lot of Laura Geller products. I am not sure what a filter finish is but this is the last thing I apply when putting on make up. I apply it over all of my face, and it's soft and pretty. It blends well & gives a great, soft, shimmery look. Very pretty.

                Glow from within

Comments about Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder:

I've only had it for a few days but oh my goodness this is amazing. It's not the type of highlight that could be seen from outer space but it definitely gives you that beautiful glow from within. It has the right amount of sheen wherein you don't have to pack it on for it to show up, but it's buildable if you'd like a brighter glow. I have a lot of highlighters, but this one definitely has a spot in my heart. It's just too gorgeous, I'm so glad I made an impulse buy. I definitely recommend and will purchase again.

Comments about Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder:

Holy moly, where to begin?! I bought this because: 1) It looked so lovely 2) I thought it would cancel out skin color imperfections (like a color corrector) 3) It states it's a finishing powder. For reference, I'm very fair skinned, normal/semi oily t-zone. I put this powder on as an all over coverage to calm down any redness and when I say I could glow...I'm talking I could beacon an alien from outer space! It was so ridiculously shiny! I use it now as a highlighter only; which bums me out for the price I paid. I love Laura Gellar products, but this one was a womp, womp purchase. Proceed and shine on at your own risk!

Comments about Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder:

I purchased this after eyeballing it for a minute. I'm fair (NC15) with normal to dry skin and use this as a lightweight finishing powder. It has luminosity which I love because I normally rock a dewy complexion and it does some light color-correcting. I haven't tried with darker skin tones, so I'm not sure if it would show up frosty on them or not. I'd recommend fair to medium skin tones at most because when swirled together and swatched the powder has a pearl color with a pearlescent sheen and can go overboard quickly. I apply with a fluffy, dense brush and lightly dust it all over for a pretty sheen, but any more than that and you can look like a frosty cupcake fast. Overall, will be repurchasing for myself as I do really love it for my skin tone and type.

Comments about Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder:

I wasn't too sure about this, as I'd swatched it in store and it seemed too shimmery for an all over face powder. But I read all the online reviews and decided to give it a go. It IS shimmery....if you go too heavy with the product. But if you very lightly dust it on, it gives a brightening, luminous effect. The trick it to use a VERY light hand. Then it just comes out PRETTY. But you can also use it as a highlighter if you want to; just apply more heavily only in the areas you want to highlight.

                      A:

Yes, this powder is suitable for all skin tones! I recommend using a brush that is light and fluffy (not too dense). This way, the brush will lightly grab and deposit the pigments onto your complexion and you'll avoid any possibility of the powder being too light. It is so sheer, so it will blend in with the rest of your skin tone. It will color correct and will add a slight, natural looking luminosity to the skin. I recommend giving it a try! Enjoy!

We recommend using a brush that is big enough for the entire face, light in density, and fluffy. The more dense the bristles, the more product those bristles will pick up, and it will apply more product onto the skin. Since this is not a foundation, a brush with light-medium bristle density is perfect for a light dusting through the entire face. Enjoy!

Does this product work well with oily skin? I've swatched it in the store, and it is very beautiful. I don't want to purchase it if it's not going to work with my oil slick of a face. Thank you in advance for your answer!

Yes, it definitely does work with oily skin! I have actually used it as an oil-absorbing powder. This will get rid of shine and oil, but because it has a luminous finish, the it will leave the skin with a light glow/luminosity without looking oily. You will love the luminous-matte finish you'll get from Filter Finish, and it will work great with oily or non-oily skin. Enjoy!
