Great for deep cleaning of brushes!

By Kimberly

About Me Budget Buyer

Pros

  • Gives brushes deep cleaning
  • High Quality

Cons

  • I have to apply rubbing in between my hands

Best Uses

  • Multi-Use

Comments about EcoTools Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo:

Place product on brushes, then rub the brushes between fingers....that is the only downside, it is like washing dishes, clothes, etc.,... then rinse under warm water. But, this product does clean you brushes, removing all makeup products. I recommend using this product once a week for a deep clean, and using REAL TECHNIQUES by Sam & Nic brush cleansing gel for daily cleaning if you are on the go like I am.

This is a fabulous brush wash. My nice makeup brushes dried perfectly after their "shampoo". I've been using something that's like gasoline forever. Thank goodness I accidentally saw this.

Comments about EcoTools Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo:

First things first, this stuff smells soo freaking good. I purchased this along with a set of Ecotools glow set and I was very very happy with it. The only con is that it doesn't clean off ALL of my foundation off my brush. It works beautifully on every other brush that I own though.

                      A:

                      Hi Glynn,

Good question - I actually had to ask the people who formulated the shampoo about that, so I learned something too today! :)

They told me that the Makeup Brush Shampoo is just a cleanser for the brushes, and does not contain any antibacterial agents. The shampoo will wash away buildup (including bacteria), but isn't designed to kill bacteria.

                      Hope that helps!

                      Hi Chacej,

Yes, this is great for use on sponges. As with any type of cleanser, just make sure you rinse thoroughly and squeeze any excess liquid off your sponge and allow to dry.

                      Thanks!
