I thought I was so out of luck when my go to brand stopped making the product. This is so perfect!! Not crunchy. Not sticky. Not greasy. Leaves my curls soft and bouncy. Doesn't weigh it down and no frizz. I'm in love.

I love Deva products, this one smells amazing. However, wasn't a firm enough of a hold. My hair frizzed and didn't hold good shape of my curls. ;( I'll stick with my favorite Deva Frizz-Free Volumizing Foam.

This did absolutely nothing to enhance and define my curls. They felt odd and stringy afterwards. I LOVE the original Deva Styling Cream and thought this one would be fun to try for the scent. But it did not work as nice as the original on my fine wavy hair.

                          • Q:

I have very tight curly, fine, short hair and I regularly use the No-Poo Decadence, followed by a little One Condition left in (about 20%) and then the light defining gel. This seems to work well enough. With my hair less tends to be more. I was recently introduced to the One Condition Decadence and the SuperCream by my stylist. As instructed, I used No-Poo Decadence, followed by One Condition Decadence which I rinsed out completely, with a small amount (Nickel) of SuperCream applied in the shower, finished with the normal one pump of gel per side. I had a frizzy mess for the rest of the day. What do you think went wrong? The One Condition Decadence being too heavy for my fine hair, or the fact that I didn't leave it in at all; the SuperCream; or the application of any or all of it? I'd really like the Decadence line to work for me as the curls in the ads fit my pattern exactly, and the No-Poo Decadence has been great, I just can't seem to get the stylers to work. Help!

Wow, interesting. I would suggest much less supercream so you can use your usual amount of gel, which was working. Another thing that was working was the leaving in of One Condition. I agree with all you were doing previously and all your stylist instructed. Everything is perfect on paper. But since your hair didn't respond as planned, now you must do micro adjustments to find the right formula. Try leaving in the same amount of One Condtion, use much less SC, then gel. OR mix 1 pump of SC with your usual amount of gel, emulsify with a touch of water and rake on. Try all these ideas on separate days and evaluate which you like best. Good luck. Stay in touch!

I have caucasisn 3c long hair and I use your low poo, original conditioner and angel gel. As well as my own cocktail of leave ins. What leave in product would work best and in what order? Also, am I using the gel wrong as my primary styler? It leaves my hair a bit dry? Should I style with a cream instead? I didn't like boy out new coconut line; it just didn't condition well enough and irritated my super sensitive skin. Suggestions for the bare minimum of products and the order in which I should use them? Thank you, Deva is the best!

As well as "your own cocktail of leave-ins"... Would like to know what these are. Deva doesn't exactly play well with others. If you are finding the gel on its own a bit dry, I would recommend Supercream or Styling Cream first applied in soaking wet hair in the shower, followed by Arc for extra hold and to control frizz. I think you'll like this combo.

Hi there, as always a live consultation with a Deva Stylist is best (use our stylist finder on the devacurl website by typing in your zip and reading the reviews). Without seeing a photo, I would recommend our Curls Up Combs Down kit for wavy/curly. It has Original No-Poo/One Condition which I believe would be the ideal moisture level for you. As well as Styling Cream (apply first in soaking wet hair in the shower) and Gel (apply after in soaking wet hair in the shower to control frizz). Scrunch to form curls, scrunch with a DevaTowel, then don't touch until completely dry. Then scrunch again to break the gel cast.

With the No-Poo, be sure to focus on the scalp and massage vigorously on, then massage vigorously OFF. Don't just rinse off. This way you will have no residue. Apply One Condition, finger detangle, rinse off 80% -- you can leave in some. Experiment. Then apply your gel in soaking wet hair in the shower. Don't touch your curls until dry, then break the gel cast by scrunching with your hands for soft, touchable curls.

Hi Sara, Not only is SUPERCREAM a great choice for your hair type, you will love the added moisture, shine, and definition you will get. This rich, coconut-infused styler gives freedom for ultimate curl expression! SUPERCREAM can smooth, soften, shape, stretch, moisturize, define, control, boost volume, twist-out, tame frizz, add shine, or switch up your look! It's all about versatility. We would also suggest cleansing and conditioning with No-Poo and One Condition Decadence for best results. To further tame frizz, follow SUPERCREAM with Ultra Defining Gel. Glaze and scrunch in wet hair, don't touch until completely dry, then scrunch to release the gel cast. Hope this helps!

                              A:

In some instances, it will make dehydrated curls more refined or less "bushy" because it delivers great moisture. However on certain hair types, it can fluff the hair out (in a good way), creating a soft touchable curl. To create tousled curls: Apply to damp hair and air dry of diffuse with the DevaDryer and DevaFuser. Shake hair at the root to boost volume and to loosen up your texture.

How would you describe the fragrance? I used Devacurl years ago but didn't like the smell. I'm not a fan of herbally smells. Is this one more coconutty, beachy, tropical?
