Ask a Question
This kit for adult acne helps treat, clear and prevent the triggers that lead to breakouts. Use morning and night to help maintain consistently clear, healthy skin.

Medibac Kit Includes:
  • Clearing Skin Wash: Foaming, breakout-clearing cleanser (1.7 oz.)
  • Clearing Mattifier: Breakout-fighting shine control (0.5 oz.)
  • Overnight Clearing Gel: Clearing, purifying treatment (0.5 oz.)
  • Concealing Spot Treatment: Tinted topical breakout treatment (0.1 oz.)
  • Sebum Clearing Masque: Purifying, refining gel (0.75 oz.)

We recommend that first-time Dermalogica users visit an authorized skin treatment professional for a client consultation in an ULTA store.
Clearing Skin Wash: Work a pea-sized amount into a lather in wet hands. Apply to dampened face and throat, massaging in circular motions while concentrating on areas of congestion and oiliness. Avoid eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with Skin Purifying Wipes and prescribed Dermalogica MediBac Clearing regimen.

Clearing Mattifier: Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying. Cover entire affected area with a thin layer one or two times daily. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. Can be used under makeup, or alone in oily-prone areas, to reduce oily shine.

Overnight Clearing Gel: Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying. Cover entire affected area with a thin layer at night. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs reduce application to every other night. For external use only, not to be swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation develops, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children.

Concealing Spot Treatment: Dot onto finger and apply to afflicted area. Let stand for five seconds, then pat until blended in. Use until breakout has cleared.

Sebum Clearing Masque: Apply a smooth layer to cleansed face and throat (avoiding the eye area) three times per week. May also be used exclusively on the T-Zone. Leave on for 10 minutes, the rinse thoroughly with warm water. For external use only, not to be swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water. Comments about Dermalogica Medibac Kit:

This is the second time that I've tried the Dermalogica system for my adult acne. I bought the Medibac kit, Gentle exfoliating cream & the Ultracalming toner since I have sensitive skin. (Previously I had tried the sensitive skin kit)
I use the acne clearing skin wash, ultracalming toner, active moist lotion daily. I alternate between the medibac mask & the gentle exfoliating mask, nearly every other night. My skin is still hydrated (not flaky or peeling) but still acne riddled.

I've been using this for approx. 6 weeks and my skin is actually WORSE. I am getting married in 3 months and have to get this under control. I have whiteheads, black heads & cystic/ nodular acne on my chin & forehead area.

I have tried SEVERAL high end acne systems:

    Murad
    Mario Badescu
    Philosophy
    Clinique
    Boscia
    First Aid Beauty
    Peter Thomas Roth

I am going to try Exposed skin care next. Wish me luck!

The products will clear up acne but they also severely dried out my skin. It seemed like no amount of moisturizer could help. The concealing spot treatment was orange-ish and very thin. The overnight clearing gel worked great though.

            • Q:

I am 54 years old, and still suffering from acne on my chin. I have tried Proactiv and Murad. They clear the surface, but not the deep down problems causing pimples to come back. I am oily only in the t-zone. I would guess that the acne is hormone related as well as stress other than my diet. Should I use the meds-bac system or the system for normal/oily skin?

Thank you for your inquiry. Since your breakouts are only on your chin we recommend using our normal/oil kit and using Charcoal Rescue Masque 2-3 times a week and Breakout Control on your chin/problem area. If you are consistent with these products you will see a reduction of breakouts in this area.

What is the best product for white head acne? I used the overnight clearing gel and it helped the acne on my cheek very well. However, I still have the acne on my chin and forehead. They are big whitehead acne.

Thank you for your inquiry. To treat breakouts you need to be consistent with exfoliation and masquing. We recommend using Daily Microfoliant and Sebum Clearing Masque that comes in your MediBac kit. Also, make sure you are not using any products that are clogging your pores. Check your make up for mineral oil based ingredients and heavy oils.

Thank you for your inquiry. The MediBac line would be best to address your breakouts with the addition of Ultra Calming Mist and Oil Free Matte SPF30 for daytime use. To address hyperpigmentation we recommend using Daily Microfoliant and spot treating marks with C-12 Pure Bright Serum. Please careful with sun exposure and wear a hat when outdoors.

            • Q:

I'm 23 and have very, very oily skin and a recent increase in hormonal acne and blackheads. The blackheads are mostly in my more oily spots, cystic/hormonal acne on my cheeks and chin, and those dreaded milia dispersed on my chin and forehead. My skin can be a little sensitive at times.
I have tried most OTC treatments, home remedies, and Proactiv with little to no improvement.
Would the medi bac line be the optimal choice? Or should I go with the oily skin package?
I'm terribly worried about future scarring and I really pride myself in clear and healthy skin.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In addition to the kit we recommend using Ultra Calming Mist and Oil Free Matte SPF30 to keep your skin hydrated. Once you have ran out of your Sebum Clearing Masque which comes in the kit you can switch to the retail size of Charcoal Rescue Masque 2-3 times a week. It is important to be consistent with your skin care and keep skin hydrated.

Thank you for your inquiry. Are you referring to dark marks from past breakout or depressions in the skin? The MediBac kit will address breakout however, does not address scaring. For hyperpigmentation we recommend out Power Bright system which can be use along with the MediBac products.
