Ask a Question
More than just a primer, it's the secret behind the iconic BECCA glow. Infused with three unique Filtering Luminescent Pearls, each one adds a different drop of diffused light. Blended together, they result in a first of its kind, lightweight, whipped fluid that creates a smooth canvas and acts as an instant filter. Blurs imperfections and gives skin a healthy, luminescent glow.
Apply a thin layer to moisturized skin from the center of the face outward. Wait a few seconds and apply makeup as usual or wear alone.

Comments about BECCA Backlight Priming Filter:

I am so glad I bought this. The first thing I noticed is how great it smells. It just has a very fresh, clean scent. I don't think it works well UNDER foundation as a primer, but it works great mixing a small amount with other non luminous foundations. It works the BEST (for me) all alone with no other makeup. This is a great no makeup day makeup. I have been using this with a little concealer, a tiny bit of setting powder, mascara, light blush and lip balm. Love it!!

I didn't really notice that my skin looked more luminous after applying this under my foundation. I don't think it was worth the price

      Yes!

Comments about BECCA Backlight Priming Filter:

I love when my skin looks luminous and glowy. This primer works well alone or best coupled with the Becca aqua luminous foundation. the combination doesn't make me look overly shiney and I just love the finish. The primer also works well with the Too Faced Born This Way foundation. In that case, it's best to mix the primer with the foundation because the foundation tends to mask its effects. Mixing the primer with a long lasting type primer keeps my foundation on forever!

I use this primer alone most of the time. But I love it when I mix my foundation with it. Lasts all day long without any touch up. I'm so mad I didn't get this primer sooner. Love it!

Ive noticed that this works best when I mix it with my foundation rather than just apply right onto my face. As for being a primer, my makeup doesn't stay on any longer. The only good thing about this product is that it makes my foundation look more glowy.

Would it work to blend this with a foundation whose coverage I feel is too heavy in order to thin it out?

No, Backlight Priming Filter works best as a primer applied prior to foundation application. You may like Shimmering Skin Perfector (Item #: 2276813), which can be mixed into your foundation to add a luminescent glow.

I currently use the Becca ever matte poreless priming perfector with the aqualuminous foundation. My t-zone gets extremely oily. Is it necessary to use the backlight primer as well or is it needed? Thanks!

We would stick to using one primer at a time, especially if you are on the oily side. If you do want to use both, we suggest using Backlight as a primer and Ever Matte Primer tapped over foundation application.
