Ask a Question
More than just a primer, it's the secret behind the iconic BECCA glow. Infused with three unique Filtering Luminescent Pearls, each one adds a different drop of diffused light. Blended together, they result in a first of its kind, lightweight, whipped fluid that creates a smooth canvas and acts as an instant filter. Blurs imperfections and gives skin a healthy, luminescent glow.
Apply a thin layer to moisturized skin from the center of the face outward. Wait a few seconds and apply makeup as usual or wear alone.

        Great dewy primer

        By wilddazy

Comments about BECCA Backlight Priming Filter:

This is usually my go-to primer. I love dewy skin especially in the summer so I can have a little glow. This primer honestly makes me feel like I'm putting Becca's opal highlighter all over my face. A lot of people wrote that they like to wear it as is but I find that it looks much better with a light foundation over top so that it kind of pokes through the places of your face where it should naturally shine. Overall, it's a great primer and I recommend it to everyone I discuss makeup products with. It'll last a while too, you just need one pump each application

I was worried that this would be too glow-y. I have mature combo skin and the super highlights don't always look right on me. However this is such a nice subtle glow that I don't look greasy. I will say that it doesn't really work under a heavy foundation or powder foundation but looks great under sheer to medium coverage foundations. So far I've used it with Tate rainforest, Lancôme cushion and too faced born this way. All three worked out. Not so much under the taste powder foundation which could be also due to being out in the Texas humidity. Overall I really like it

              Glowy Glow

              By Miri

Comments about BECCA Backlight Priming Filter:

My skin is normal combination, primers such as the wonderful Marc Jacobs, Tarte, Elf and Too faced sadly break me out. I've used Lancme primer but it's too oily. Finally I decided to try Becca and oh em gee it's amazing, on my hand it feels okay but once I apply it on my face it's the perfect formula for my skin type, I use Koh Gen Doh foundation on top. It gives me skin a soft feels, also Glowly skin. My foundation stays on 5 hours and no break outs! I recommend it for normal combination skin types. I have not tried it with any other foundation yet but I am in love it's a great product.

This is my go to primer! It's the second bottle I purchased. I love the way this feels in skin and it gives a great glow. Nothing overpowering just very gentle and my makeup goes great over it. You can also wear this alone. It feels very moisturizing but not greasy. I wasn't going to invest in another bottle but after trying so many others, nothing compared. Love this!

Yes! You can use Backlight Priming filter if you have oily skin. Just be sure to use only one pump, and if you tend to get oily in certain areas, just lightly tap this primer onto the skin.

If you have an oily complexion, we recommend you try the Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. This is a primer specifically made for oily skin, that you can place on areas to eliminate excess oil before and after makeup application.

No, Backlight Priming Filter works best as a primer applied prior to foundation application. You may like Shimmering Skin Perfector (Item #: 2276813), which can be mixed into your foundation to add a luminescent glow.

I currently use the Becca ever matte poreless priming perfector with the aqualuminous foundation. My t-zone gets extremely oily. Is it necessary to use the backlight primer as well or is it needed? Thanks!

We would stick to using one primer at a time, especially if you are on the oily side. If you do want to use both, we suggest using Backlight as a primer and Ever Matte Primer tapped over foundation application.
