I've had this flat iron for years and it's still working just as great as it did right out of the box. It makes your hair soft, shiny, and frizz free (even in the horrible humidity down in South Florida). It takes less than a minute to heat up at low settings, and about a minute if you're using the highest temp setting. It glides through my hair and immediately straightens out my waves. My mother and sister frequently borrow it because of how great it works. I've tried other brands, low and high end, and none of them have worked as well. It's got an extra long sturdy cord too, which is usually too short and rather flimsy on other irons. I have really long hair that reaches below my waist and it takes me all of 10 minutes to get it pin straight. I can't stress just how much I love my iron! And yes, I've tried others throughout the years just to give them a try, and honestly, I'll *never* replace my Sedu. The only down side was the price when I originally purchased it, but it is much more affordable now.

I use this straightener daily and it gives amazing results. I have long thin hair and it doesn't fry my ends, which is hard to find among straighteners. Only problem I've had with it is the cord shorts almost every 3 months. I've had this straightener for almost 9 months and this is the THIRD time I've had to send it back. Luckily, it comes with a 1 year warranty.

I used this flat iron after a protein deep conditoning treatment and blow dry. I bought the SEDU, because I was bored/unimpressed with my CHI.

I liked the weight of the iron and the width of the plates. It heated up very fast.

However, I wanted to upgrade from my CHI because I felt that it was snagging my hair and causing more breakage than normal. I have naturally curly, fine-medium textured, dry hair.

The sedu did not travel down my hair shaft smoothly at all. I was really disappointed, because I felt that I was doing even more damage than with my CHI!I couldnt prevent it from lingerng too long on certain sections.

I returned it and exchanged it for the Babyliss Titatinum Pro C Styler and I am extremely happy with that purchase.

It still may be worth a try based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews from other people, but it unfortunately did not work for my hair. Good Luck!

Had my sedu for over 5yrs , it kinda stopped working but it last a long while. I decided to try something new, like the Croc mistake mistake big time mistake my hair suffered from that mistake my hair lookd like a broom stiff and dead I returned it got my Sedu ,,, omg my Sedu everyone noticed my hair just after that one use after the Croc ehhh..I love love my Sedu....will never go bk to tryn new products or maybe the new Revolutionary Sedu but yes I will stick with my Sedu;;;) <3

The straightener seems low quality when you see it, but it works really well. Lightweight and works well! Much better than chi!

Loved it so much that I bought a second for my daughter. Then mine shorted out. The cord was not wrapped around the iron. It was not packed for travel, nor was it ever dropped. Had it long enough that I threw out the packaging, but not long enough for the price. Hope my daughter's hangs on!

I wash my hair the night before and use my hair straightener after I dry my hair. When I get ready for work in the morning it only takes a few minutes to run my straightener through my hair and it looks perfect! I have long, wavy, frizzy hair and live in an extremely humid environment. I have had my straightener for almost four years. My 23-year-old daughter also has one and loves her's too!

I have used countless drugstore and high-end flat irons over the past 10 years. This is by far my favorite. I love the wide plates for my long thick hair, the incredibly fast heat-up time, and the long cord! The only reason I am on my second one is because I let my first Sedu fall off the dresser too many times and the hinge eventually broke and the plates didn't line up anymore (still worked though!)

This Flat iron is at the top of my list. It does EVERYTHING you expect a flat iron to do & it heats up very fast. the temp control dial is an awesome feature so you can adjust the setting according to the condition of the hair. My only dislike is the cord detached from the actual iron causing it to not work properly but this happened after MANY uses. Buy it and you will love it!
