Dried and frizzy after one use

Comments about Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner For Coarse Hair:

I always have used biolage products and was excited to try this. I was hoping to use this as a shampoo and conditioner in one step. It made my hair feel and look the worst in my entire life. Horrible product for my course hair, it made it very dry and very frizzy.

Comments about Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner For Coarse Hair:

About a year and 1/2 ago I decided to go natural after many years of relaxing my hair. As my natural hair grew in, I then remembered why I'd relaxed it for so long--untreated, my hair is unbelievably tight, hard, wiry, coarse, and unruly. After trying many products, I discovered Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner For Coarse Hair AND Matrix Biolage Smoothing Cream For Coarse Hair. Some improvement was seen with the very first use (amazingly, I could actually get the comb through my wet hair). And with each use, my hair kept improving.

After about the fifth use, my hair softened considerably and became easy to comb and braid when wet or dry. No more hard, wiry, tight hair. It's a miracle. Flat-ironing it is almost effortless, too--one pass per section. And it stays straight for days.

        Great products!!!

Hands down my favorite conditioner! I have thick long hair that is color treated and this product works wonders. It's also free of parabens and sulfates! Big plus as well because you can use it as a cleansing conditioner(no shampoo needed). Personally, I use a clarifying conditioner a few times a week with this as well. It's lasted me six months! Give it a try! Doesn't disappoint :)

            • Q:

I have fine, course, naturally curly/wavy hair. Which cleansing conditioner should I use- the one for course hair, the one for fine hair, or the one for curly hair? Thanks!

                A:

When selecting a product you want to focus on what your main concern is for your hair. I would suggest selecing the formula for curly hair and alternating with a traditional shampoo if you are finding any form of build up on your scalp or ends.

            • Q:

I am currently using the Biolage Cleansing Conditioner for curly hair but wonder if this product may be more suited to my hair. I have thick coarse 2C curly hair. With the curly cleanser I find my ends are well moisturised, but my scalp and roots have a build up that feels oily to touch. Is my original product too strong for my hair? Is this one for coarse hair better for this kind of thing?

                A:

Using Biolage Cleansing Conditioner for Coarse hair may be better suited for your needs. It will cleanse and condition thick curly hair while restoring smoothness and manageability for increased shine and suppleness.

            • Q:

I use and really love the matrix cleansing conditioner for medium hair, however, I've noticed that my ends are a little dried out after using and with the cooler weather approaching I was curious if using the cleansing conditioner for corse hair would hydrate my hair a little better? My hair is pretty thick, but I get it thinned out every 6 months, and my hair has always been prone to getting dry.

              • Brand Expert

                A:

If you feel that your hair is coarse, you may achieve better results with the Cleansing Conditioner for coarse hair rather than the Cleansing Conditioner for medium hair. Even with your hair being thinned out, you still may have coarse hair. Hair texturizing, or thinning, removes some of your coarse hair to make it seem finer, but does not change the actual diameter of your hair. In this case, you may want to make the switch. We hope this information is helpful!

Is this product ok to use after a Keratin Treatment?

                A:

We feel our products are safe to use, however we don't test our products over keratin treatments. We would suggest following the instructions from the manufacture of the keratin treatment you were given. You may want to discuss these options with your stylist.
