Comments about Color Me Automatic Foundation Applicator Universal Starter Kit:

I've been hearing so much about this device that had to find out about it for myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the powder application. It pats my powder into place perfectly and doesn't leave a mess on my clothes.

I also love how soft and squishy the powder sponge feels - so luxurious! Most of the other sponges I've tried are either too dense or too fluffy and difficult to use.

The tear shape lets me get inside small areas like around my nose for blending concealer. I'm not an expert but I was able to use it immediately. I wish the instructions were more detailed though! This is my only complaint. I get the best results by first applying my Becca full coverage cream foundation and then setting with my Tarte powder, like the instructions say to do.

Tip: Remember to thoroughly coat the liquid sponge with a full coverage cream foudation before you start using it, don't go straight into using the new sponge. Otherwise the sponge will soak up too much makeup.

Comments about Color Me Automatic Foundation Applicator Universal Starter Kit:

I'm a licensed cosmetologist in Florida, and I do mostly weddings. It really does give a flawless airbrushed effect and I've used this with powder to set my clients' makeup for the last 3 weddings that I've done. Not only does it give them the perfect matte face for wedding photos, I've also noticed that it helps their makeup last longer which means not as many touch ups. I have not seen another tool that applies powder as well as this applicator does and I highly recommend it!

This new device is okay, not life changing. Like a clarisonic for your makeup and saves time in the am for sure. Does sometimes feel like more makeup being absorbed into the sponge than going on your face. Mine was supposed to come with a battery and did not. Had to get one seprately.

I wanted to try this to see how it would work for pre-wedding events and possibly even use it for the day of the wedding. In preparation before the events, I wanted to see how it looked and I really didn't see a big difference from using this compared to a cosmetic sponge.

This was so worth the splurge! I haven't tried it with liquid foundation yet, but tried it with my powder. I couldn't believe how nice my make-up looked. It blended beautifully! The coverage was great. I will be using less concealer now that I have this. I couldn't believe the difference this applicator makes. WOW!

Comments about Color Me Automatic Foundation Applicator Universal Starter Kit:

I had to review this product because it is just so fantastic. I was hesitant to pay the money at first but decided to splurge on it and give it a try. I am so glad that I did! There was a bit of a learning curve at first and my best tip of advice is to use a makeup with a thicker consistency. I used Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation because it gives me a full coverage on my VERY acne-prone skin and doesn't cause me to break out as badly as drugstore foundations tend to do. I do sometimes use Neutrogena or Almay's skin-clearing foundations but I found that they were too runny for me to get the full benefit of this device.

Also, if you smear the makeup on just a little instead of dabbing it like the instructions say to do then it works way better. The machine is so small (roughly 3" total length) that it has no problem getting into all the different curves and angles of your face too. The overall effect is a more airbrushed look that makes my skin look like porcelain. Did I mention the acne?! Also, since I use less makeup I save more money and my face breaks out even less. (On a side note, Murad is working wonders for clearing my acne!). Also, I think the sponges need to absorb a little bit of foundation before it becomes fully effective. I also change mine out every two weeks, instead of 1, as I felt they lasted just fine for about that length of time and it saves me money.

I did try to use the powder foundation applicator but decided I preferred my trusty tarte brush to do a better job. However, I am rarely a powder foundation wearer so that is probably more preference than anything else.

Comments about Color Me Automatic Foundation Applicator Universal Starter Kit:

The sponge absorbs too much product, making me have to be spend more money to buy foundation more often. Vibration doesn't improve make up application at all. I blend it a lot better with my brush manually. And having to buy sponge replacements is even more money out of my pocket. It's astounding to think someone would invest a lot of money to create and sell this silly product.

Comments about Color Me Automatic Foundation Applicator Universal Starter Kit:

I purchased this tool a couple of weeks ago and must say am very pleased with the way it blends my BB cream (I use this instead of a foundation). Short learning curve and application is far more even than using fingers and a sponge...faster too! I did try to wash the sponge to try to extend the life, but save yourself the time and effort because it does NOT work! I have also found that the recommended 7 days is about right, as it does absorb excess product and at the end of that time application becomes a little splotchy. This is the only reason it gets 4 stars...cost of weekly sponge plus the cost of the gadget is a bit steep.

This little tool blends my foundation really well I must say! It did take me a couple tries, you have to really follow the instructions and for the liquid sponge I had to completely cover the sponge with my foundation the first time using the tool otherwise it would absorb into the sponge. Now that I've used the sponge it doesn't absorb anymore. My husband even noticed how great my makeup looks now :). This ones a keeper!

Firmly attach sponge to device. Put small amount of foundation onto sponge then push button. If you're using liquid foundation, tap foundation from sponge onto forehead, cheeks, nose, chin before blending. As device pulsates, sweep it in light circular motions across face to blend. The sponges are latex free, hypoallergenic and disposable; replacement recommended after 7 days of use.

You can extend the life of the sponge by patting with an alcohol or cleansing wipe; however, you should never pour liquid on the sponge or submerge it in water. This will help the sponge last longer.
